I am committed there for softball. The second I walked onto campus it felt like home to me. The community had an uplifting persona everyone was thankful and kind. There's no judgment or violence whatsoever. I loved how everyone knew each other and kept everyone accountable for everything.

Syerra - 06/24/2023

During my site tour I felt that Stephens college truly cares about their students and their success. The time was taken to not only show me around but allowed me to meet professors and facility members and speak with them. I felt very safe on campus and truly enjoyed spending the day there. I can see myself as a student at Stephens College.

It is a very good college I would definitely recommend it to people that is looking for smaller classes. The classes are small and the teachers are able to help more students, because of the sizes of the classes. The library is also very good looking considering I haven't been in it yet, because I probably won't come out because I love to read books so it will be a while before I ever think about going to the library.

Shannon - 08/15/2020

I personally love my school. If you are looking for a small campus size with women who want to help build you up every day, this is the place for you. The campus is pretty liberal and there is a huge call to activism, our professors are always easy to get ahold of, the dorms are relatively large, AND we are pet friendly. The town surrounding Stephens is such a great area to live in as well. We are neighbored by two other colleges, so there really is always something going on. Stephens is small, but if you feel like you're missing out on a program/class or event, our school has partnerships with the others so nothing can stand in your way.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

In high school I didn't do my best. I didn't think it was important and would slack off on my work. I got below average grades and am lucky I even got into college. If I could go back in time, I would let myself know that those grades do matter. That if I would've gotten better grades in high school, I could have gotten more scholarships for college. If I knew that I would love college so much I would've had myself apply for more scholarships so I could stay in school.

  3. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish I had known to stop sweating the small things in life. My first year at Stephens I worried about people liking me and getting invited to parties at the near by university. I was unmotivated my first semester, since I was so worried about pleasing other people. I later realized that I should never worry about what other people think about me and if they do, they are not worth my time.

Stephens is a very open community. The girls (and the few guys) here are all welcoming and accepting to the freshmen. If you need help, people will give you help, or tell you who you need to talk to. The faculty and staff here really do strive to offer you with the best education and living situaion available. 6. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The tution is the worst thing about Stephens. It cost 30,000 a year to go here. Thats a lot of money compared to other schools. I hate taking out loans but thats what I have to do because they don't give me enough aid money and they don't tell you were to find scholarships to help you.

  7. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

I brag about how much fun I'm having in the classroom as well as outside. All the teachers are fun and will help every student to succeed as long as the teacher is aware of the student needing help. The school provides plenty of fun activities on campus that are specially made for college students. Like movie night on wednesdays, religious club meetings, and (when its finals week) a spa day.
