Boise State University is best known as a a well-rounded player in the academic and athletic fields. University President Bob Kustra describes the school as, "a metropolitan research university of distinction." Most widely known for its football victory in the Fiesta Bowl in 2007, BSU's athletic programs are quite prestigous, and boast some of the best coaches and athletes in the nation. In addition to athletics, Boise State excels in the academic arena; the univerity is home to the nationally-ranked debate team. Whether it's communications, music, health sciences, or athletics, BSU offers much to its students.

Football. :) Especially now. It's what I always thought of when I thought of Boise State before I came here.

Football

Boise State is unique in that it creates a whole life style for students. From academic to extra curricular activites the school allows the students to control campus life by encouraging positive outlets. Boise State has very strong art, business, biology, or engineering programs. Extra curricular activities are strongly encouraged for providing a way for students to occupy their time with out alcohol. For example: sports equipment can be rented out by students, such as kayaks, snow shoes, tents, climbing gear, hiking gear, etc. The best part is that the school is growing, and students can controll the direction.

We are best known for our football program. We are the current Western Athletic Confrence champions, and have been a force to recon with for the past few years. I'm sure that everyone in the nation has heard of our blue football field, as well.
