Being a very motiviated and focused student, I feel that my school provides me with the ability to delve into my focus with the space I need to make my own mistakes while simultaneously supporting me with insight and professional reference. My courses are taught by educated working artists and professionals, which makes for a very helpful and productive dynamic in and out of the classroom. Independent study consisits of intensive one on one meetings with teachers that you choose and have been suggested to best suit your personal path and needs.

The best thing about attending to California Institute of the Arts is that we are a small but have a focus on the arts. Classrooms consists of a small amount of students so all our teachers know us by name and we have a flurishing relationship with them all. The faculty really focuses upon the needs of the students and they are willing to provide guidance whenever we are in need.

I feel that the best thing about CalArts is the sense of community, which is extremely strong. I feel that when the community is strong that it allows for strong growth in an individuals field. We must learn to be one with each other before we can find ourselves.
