There is little opportunity for research work. As such, expect to take more general education courses, rather than courses in the field in which you are interested in. The CSU system is not a research type of campus, and is instead more aimed towards providing a broader curriculum. This type of curriculum may be more suitable for those interested in becoming a teacher but not an engineer.

I think the worst thing about my school is that they should provide more academic counselors to all students instead of to students who are in academic programs such as EOP

I dont think theres is something at this school that I would complain about, it meets all my needs. Maybe just the fact that it's a little far from home, but thats about it.

The worst thing about my school is the lack fo help I recieved from financial aide. The person who deals with my financial aide told me that the only way I could recieve financial support, instead of loans, would be to become pregnant, be illegal, or get married. I was so ashamed that someone I thought would help told me these things. I try so hard to get good grades and I was told I was worthless and that I need to do these things to get aide.

What I consider the worst thing about my school is the location. Its located directly off of two freeways and the socioeconomic class surrounding the campus is poor.

There aren't that many bad thing, but I do think that the parking is the worst. There isn't enough. They have built some parking garages, but they are far away and it is sometimes scary walking that far after classes that get out at 10 pm.
