I wish I had know the District more so I knew where to go! I also wish I knew how expensive it would be due to location and just the program I am in. i would have applied for twice as many scholarships before I attended CUA in the fall of 2014.
Matt
I wish I had known more about the new single-sex dorm policy
Jaron
The different types of minorities in the campus.
Jason
What major I wanted to pursue and take the needed classes so I won't waste time and money.
Abigail
Nothing really, everything was very well explained before attending.
Elizabeth
That it should have been my top choice and that i needed more help with my financial aid.
Rachel
How to pack to live in a dorm. That's the only problem I had.
Kevin
I wish that I knew that this campus is not very commuter friendly.
Lieren
That the school itself isn't academically very strong. The classes are easy and the work isn't often challenging.
Dagoberto
How much the teachers here expected. They are very engaging and caring but they expect only the best from their students.
Kyle
I wish I had known that the opportunity I was given to go to Catholic University would provide me with the chance to experience a world I never anticipated.
Jennifer
That it was on the smaller side and that the food isn't the greatest.
Caitlin
I had been told that my school (school of Drama) was in the top 10 in the country. What they failed to mention was that that statistic applied 40 years ago.
Rachel
I wish I had known more about the campus life and the different things to do. Also, the spirit life with sports as well as the competition to do well in this school. Overall Ithink I like the school size, but sometimes I wish it was bigger. There are opportunities and choices offered here for different things, but I wish there was more.
Anne
I wish I would have been better educated from the financial aid office and how to pay for school. It is hard to grasp how much money you are really spending, especially if you are taking out student loans and it would have been helpful to have someone from the financial aid office to lay it out more clearly and get a little more help with figuring out how to finance a private school education.
James
Academics are taken rather seriously here. The school itself isn't an impossible school to get through, academically, but I wish I knew that, especially in the Philosophy program, that I would need to do a significant amount of reading, thinking, and debating while not in class. Not to say that we had a hard work load, but I think I was caught off guard at how the school challenged me more than I was comfortable with, at first. It turned out that this was great for me not to know; I had to rise to the occasion.
Mariano
It is the perfect school.
Lee
I wish that I had known how much tuition increases each year. It's approximately 5{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c}, which is difficult for me. I also wish that I had known that one's scholarship award can not increase because of good grades, and that very little scholarships are available through the university.
Annastassia
Information about the surrounding areas. Whether the campus is safe and the surround areas.
Philip
how much more money you spend at the school between bar costs, food costs. extra curricular activities, etc. D.C. and Catholic U. lifestyles are more expensive than it says on pen and paper. I wish I had known the disciplinary code of conduct better and the school's VERY harsh corrective system for breaking these rules.
