In order for the parents of the new college student to feel the most comfort out of the college that their child has selected, would be to visit the college with your child and to take in what the college has to offer. It helps the parent when they are able to be hands on and see that this college is an excellent choice for their child. For students, in order to find the right college do your research, that is extremely important. Make sure that you are happy with everything on campus, and do not be afarid to ask questions. College is a different experience then high school, it teaches you responsiblity by being in an mature independent enviornment. Make sure that when you pick the college of your choice you enroll in activities so that you take pride in the college you plan on attending. I would say before you make a decision of whatever school you pick that fits you best do as much research as much as you can look for campus life, financial , majors, etc anything you can of picking the right school for you. Also as far college experience I can say do your best at school make good decison, hang out with the right people, always do work and concentrate, and never anyone come between your study and work habits and always manage your time.
