i wish we had a football team. i love living in the city and near the beach. it's the perfect amount of students.

The best thing is how friendly the students, faculty, and staff are. CofC has a beautiful and warming campus.
I'd improve the facilities on campus...slowly this is happening.
It is just right it terms of size.
People are interested when they find out I go to CofC and think it is a really great place.
I spend most of my time in the classrooms, stern center, and library.
Definitely a college town...but has a lot more to offer than just that!
CofC's administration is great and very helpful.
School pride could be improved....but getting better.
Student complaints- classrooms too small, not enough courses offered, too much construction, not enough parking.

Our school is a good size. It is big enough to where you can not see someone you know but at the same time can run into a friend on the street. There are many organizations and clubs to get involved in. There is a moderate amount of school pride, it'd be better if we had a football team. Its awesome being in downtown charleston. There is always something to do and only a 20 min drive to the beach. CofC has an excellent biology department with very skilled and knowledgable professors.

The best things about CofC is the location and academics. Charleston is a great city and academics are some of the best in the state. Some programs are even nationally ranked.
One thing I would change is how lame our school website/webserves/email is. It's awful!
I wish CofC was just a little bit larger.
I do not think that there is a lot of school pride.
A cool fact most people don't know is that the College of Charleston is actually a Colonial college because we were founded in 1770, or before the United States became a country.
Students hate hate hate the email server!!!!!

A lot of students complain about the Residence and Life Housing policies, however, for the most part they are just trying to look out for the student's well-being. I love that C of C is right in the middle of downtown; you don't have to have a car to go to all the places you need to go- you can just walk there.

I love how our school is in a historic city and it is right downtown around all of the action. Close to the beach and the water is also a big attribute to why this city and college is so great. Seeing the history as I walk to class every day inspiring. Our school pride is shown, but not in the same way as say Clemson or USC's is shown by football. Our pride is in sense of self and just how we live our day-to-day lives. When people hear me say that I go to school here, their response is almost always along the lines of, "How amazing!"

This school is just the right size. I love how I can go around campus and recognize students that I have never met. The class size is perfect. I would change the parking problem and stop making the school bigger. I spend most of my time on campus in class and doing activities with ZTA. I haven't had any recent controversies on campus. I do not think there is enough school pride at COFC. One experience i will always remember is living in the dorms. One of the most frequent complaints are PARKING and safety. The administration at COFC is fabulous. The professors I have had have been amazing.

The best thing about CofC is definitely the location. We are located right in the middle of historic downtown Charleston, and constatly surrounded by beauty and history. The school is relatively small with roughly 10,000 undergrads, and sometimes I do wish it were a little bigger.

CofC is a great size! That is a huge plus-not too big, not too small. I also love that is it right in the city. We don't really have campus life much because it is in a city. I think that is just what happens because of the location. I have never lived in the dorms, because they filled up. I didn't get the normal freshman lifestyle everyone else got. I wish they would give freshman first pick on dorms, so all freshman can get housing, then open it up to everyone else. That is my biggest complaint.

The best thing about the College of Charleston is that it's not too small but it's not too big. It's the perfect size and everyone seems to know someone who knows someone. One thing I would change about the college is the interior of some of the classrooms. When I tell people I go to the College of Charleston I either hear, "That's a fun town" or "That's a great school." This place is definitely a college town and there's a lot of school pride here.
I spend most of my time on campus in the Simons Center of the Arts. I'm a studio art major so the dark room is very time consuming. The faculty and staff are great! The most recent controversy on campus was the "almost impeachment" of our SGA Vice President.
