There is a club or event for everyone! You name it! There are like 300 student orgs (as they are called) that have plenty of room for you. From Greek life to student government to athletics to poetry groups and so on... Youll have something to keep you distracted from homework.

There are over 200 student organizations at CSU, with the most prevalent by far being snow riders club. Most people at CSU like to either ski or snowboard, but if you do neither, it is no big deal there's 199 other groups to choose from. Students in the dorms usually have their doors open with music blaring out of them. The dorms are especially social during the first semester when everyone is getting to know their floor mates. I met my closest girlfriends, the Biznatches, my first year at CSU. We were all floor-mates and went through fall rush for sororities together. Although we each joined different houses we are all still very close and get together regularly. Last weekend I went bowling with a huge group of friends, played beer pong, and saw a late night movie that was showing for free in the student center. There are so many on-campus activities, all you have to do is walk across the chalked plaza and look down to see what is going on.

I would say that the most popular groups/organizations are probably specific to your major. For example: Marketing club, PR club, geology club. Just because these are the ones that give students the most experiences for the future. Many people are involved with fraternities and sororities, but I feel that only a small population of the school is involved in those. I am in a co-ed business fraternity called Delta Sigma Pi. It's an awesome experience because I get to be involved in social, professional, fundraising, and community service events. When I was freshman in the dorms, me and my roommates always left our door open. My dorm experience was the best. I met so many people.. that I'm still friends with today, so I think it's really important to leave doors open get to know people especially if it's your first year of college. The athletic events are extremely popular... or should I say WERE really popular. I am a senior now and when I was a freshman and sophomore, the football team was pretty decent and it was the thing to do on the weekends... go tailgating. Men's basketball games are really popular too. I don't really know much about the dating scene. I know there are a lot of attractive people on the campus with a lot of potential. I met my closest friends freshman year in the dorms and also through Delta Sigma Pi. If I'm awake on a Tuesday morning I'm probably either studying, playing bingo at the bars, or watching re-runs of The Office. Last weekend, I went out and had some margaritas at the Rio and went dancing. Some things you can do on a Saturday night without drinking are: go to a movies; Lyric Cinema in Old Town is awesome. You could go to a concert... there are so many venues in Fort Collins playing awesome music.

I met my closest friends in the dorms. On a tuesday at 2am, if you aren't studying you are hanging out with friends probably watching a movie (at least in the dorms we did) There is a pretty big party scene, bar scene, etc. But there are just as many people who don't party as there are that do. There are many 18+ clubs in town and concerts you can go to any night of the week. Off campus, the reservoir is 5 minutes away, fort collins has a lot of biking trails, 3 brewerys (brewery tours), Old town, plenty of dining, fort fun, etc.
