How expensive the cost of living was.

Coming from a high school class of 39 students I wish I would have known my first class at CSU would be over 400 students. That class size took a little while to get used to, but it became easier as I advanced out of the general education classes and into more specific ones with much smaller class sizes.

How to study for college courses; it was totally different than high school courses. Also, how to cook my own food.

The difference between a B+ and an A on your GPA.

Get involved in extra-curricular ASAP. and my preferred major of study.

Nothing I found my self pretty well off.

That the tests pretty much determine your grade in the class.

If they had they had the majors and the sport clubs/ varsity sports that would interest me in trying out for the teams and pursuing a degree in those majors

I wish I had known to take all the easy classes first, and the hard ones later

I wish I had known there wasn't any digital media programs at my school to pursue my hobby. But the program for my major was totally worth the trade off.

Students need to study 2-3 hours for every hour of class time!

Before I came to this school, I took advantage of every opportunity I had to learn about the procedures and available services. I was very knowledgable about the campus before I came.

Before coming to this school, I wish I would have known more about financial aid. I would much rather have more debt in student loans than credit cards...which is how my situation is shaping up right now (more credit card debt, hardly any student loan debt).

I wish I had known how great the skiing was before I came.

I wish I would have known to join more organizations right away. As a transfer student, that would have been a great way to integrate into the community more quickly.

I really wish that i would have known more about what major i was interested in. It makes life a lot easier when you generally know what field you want to study coming into the college experience. That way you don't waste any time with classes that aren't necessary.

I wish I had known how easy it is to make friends if you just put yourself out there, and how much people do want to help you. I would have kept my door open more in the residence halls, and gone to more events.

wish that i knew how amazing old town and the atmosphere was. you have to visit. i transferred and wish i found it 2 1/2 years earlier

I wish I would have known how accepting the students and staff are at CSU. At first I was really skeptical of going to a university because I was afraid that I wouldn't fit in or be accepted but I learned that all that stress got me no where. It is the complete opposite from that and I am incredibly happy to be surrounded by such great people!
