Since this school is on a block system, students wanting to go to school at Cornell should consider if this is the best way for them to learn. I highly recommend it to someone who learns better focusing on one thing at a time. The classes move very fast and and there is no room to fall behind. In one day you get the information that you would get in eight hours of class. This is also a good school for someone who enjoys small classes and participating in class a great deal.

No one should have to change their being to become someone more 'acceptable' or 'wanted'. Cornell College helps each individual develop their character and self-image. Not one person has to alter their reflection to fit in with the crowd. There is a place for everyone here. All the students are quickly able to find a group of friends that will last them a lifetime. This school helps you be yourself and not feel judged. If you do not want to deal with the "status quo", Cornell College is the place for you.

People who want to be known by name and recognized by face would love Cornell College. Ones who focus easily for long, in-depth periods of time will prosper here with the block system. Also, people who like a small-town feel, away from the bustle of the rat race, will thrive in cozy Mount Vernon. There are plenty of things to do outdoors, from hiking and swimming and fishing to cross-country skiing and running, the only things missing are the mountains and the ocean. Or, if you prefer the quiet life, the gaming community is strong too!
