What is the stereotype of students at Emerson College?

Emerson students are generally viewed as pretentious individuals who tend to be on the cutting-edge of whatever is hip at the moment. Walk into any classroom and you will probably see scores of students in skinny jeans with a glowing Macbook in front of them.

Artsy, progressive, in terms of their film program they manufacture "blockbuster makers," innovative, not very academic or incredibly hard working (or interested in rigerous acadmeic work), homosexual, "creative thinkers," acting majors (emotionalists and dramatic people), "not going anywhere serious" (usually when considering acting majors, esp. musical theatre majors, because they are not pursueing a more "serious" career--something like economics, international relations, buisness, etc.), very good for "in's" and Hollywood networking
