Franklin and Marshall College Top Questions

What are the most popular student activities/groups?

Eliana

Students at F&M do just about every activity known to college students, and most of them do more than one of them. That said, there is still plenty of time to party. Most students frequent frat parties on Thursday-Saturday nights. Less mainstream sports, like Ultimate and Lacrosse reign supreme in terms of being "cool", although F&M students are generally very inclusive of everyone.

Tons of student organizations (75 +) Lots of programming by all-campus organizations. Greeks are pretty big on campus 1/4 of student body. Athletes also make up another 1/4.

If you don't drink while you're high...then don't come here.

Sports are not a huge part of campus life but are still a fun way to spend free time. Frats are a really really big part of the social scene (sororities, not so much). There's a lot of parting and drinking. Most students party on Fridays and Saturdays, and a decent number go out on Thursdays. There don't really seem to be many college-sponsored alternatives to drinking, although the college has been trying to come up with more weekend activities lately.

Students usually have their dorm doors open and are very friendly. Athletics are not the most popular here, we're a division 3 school. People party a lot on the weekends, probably to get away from the stress of the week and what they have left to do.
