Rich kids are the most common stereotype. While this is sorta true, I would not say that it's the majority of students.
Meredith
Well the stereotype of students at GW is that everyone is rich. And although there is a majority of students who are from wealthy families, there are still a large number of people working hard and maintaining scholarships. Although there is some truth within the stereotype of GW students, it's more of a huge misunderstanding of the students here.

Although I came here thinking that such stereotypes would be impossible in such an international environment, I found within a few weeks here that they are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.
James
Like all stereotypes, they're based upon some amount of truth, but there are plenty of students here who don't fit the stereotype.
Skylar
For the most part no, but some groups definitely fit that stereotype. Its sad that few people give the rest a bad name.
Michael
For as the wealthy part, i know that most of my friends are well off, but not rich. A lot of my friends are on either athletic or academic scholarships, and/or student loans. There are some stuck up students, but it is a crowd that you wont even notice if you dont want to.
Alex
yes, there are many people who are wealthy and are from the northeast but i don't think that it comprises the entire student body
Steve
A majority of students are from NJ and NYC but not everyone
There are a lot of students interested in politics but not everyone
Seth
For some of the population yeah
Alex
No, while there are many rich and jewish kids, GW has a diverse student body
Rory
Some of them are. There are a proportionately high amount of Jewish students and students coming from middle-class to upper-class families. You have to look at who GW is marketing to, and bluntly, who can afford to come to GW.
Parker
they apply to a portion of the population, that is very evident, but not prominent
Alex
There are obviously some rich snobby spoiled students because we are the most expensive school in the nation, however, there are more students who simply love dc and are on financial aid or scholarship than students who got in because of daddy.
There is a very large gay male population.
There are attractive men at GW, you just have to look. But overall the male population has too high of an ego.
Shawn
Yes, living in the DC area is unlike most college campuses. You can't go out at night to a bar or club and expect to not pay at least 5 - 10 dollars for the cover charge alone.
