I feel the worst thing about Georgia Tech is its slight lack of opportunities for those who are not totally technically inclined. I, for example, apart from having a deep interest in the written arts (poetry, fictional writing, etc.); however, there are few opportunities for me to expand upon this area. The same goes for those who are attached to the visual arts. Though there are areas that permit graphic design or digital art, it is minimal in comparison to other universities. In short, though it has much to offer, it lacks some expansion for the artistic mind.

The worst thing about the school is the idea that your fellow students are competition. Working together, you'll learn more!

As a male student, the lack of females is very frustrating as there are only 33{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} females in attendance. Additionally, the workload is sometimes overwhelmingly impossible to keep up with and professors don't seem to care. Lastly, the students are often introverted and exclusively career/academically driven. At most schools, where there are few to no students in the library on a Friday/Saturday night, it isn't uncommon to see many students in the library on weekends.

I owuld say that the pressure is the worst thing about this school. Right now, I'm facing money constraints and the school doesn't give out much institutional money but I'd feel like a failure if I left for an easier/sheaper school.

The student teacher relationships are severely lacking

I think that fact that almost everything is revolved around engineering is a limiting factor.

I believe the worst think about Georgia Tech is the intensity of the ciriculum and expectations. Students are required to preform with extreme excellence. This could be positive, but in GT's case it causes a lot of stress and anxiety in some students. There are plenty of University provided programs to deal with this, but unfortunatly some students do not take advantage of the programs.

A majority of the courses are very rigorous and difficult, and the amount of time professors expect you to put in for each class adds up, leaving the students with tons of work and no time for fun.

The registration process is pretty incovenient. For many freshmen, it is very difficult to get all the classes they want. Also the dorm rooms are pretty small.

The worst thing about Georgia Tech is that it's really easy to get lost in the crowd. Most of the freshman and even the sophomore level classes have in excess of one hundred students. You must also be careful not to fall into the perpespective of just trying to survive your classes. In addition to you course work, you abosolutely must find an activity that you enjoy; it could be related to an organized "extracurrcular activity," or it could be something that you do entirely on your own.

The worst thing about this school also makes it the best thing about this school: academics. Tech is a very competitive school as far as academics are considered. The professors at Tech will push you to your limits, and make you work harder than you ever thought you could work. Yet at the same time, the amount of work you put in here at Tech will pay you back several times over once you become a Georgia Tech graduate.

The worst thing about the school is the male to female ratio. If you are a guy, don't plan to find a girl here unless you bring one with you or you are the type of guy that already has that part of life under control. If you are a girl, I guess this would be good for you, but this could be kind of bad if you aren't single. The school says the male to female ratio is getting a little better but when you go to class here, you would think otherwise.

The worst thing would probably have to be that that it seems some of the genious professors can't teach. Probably because they are mostly concerned with their research.

The attitude that students have regarding their work load and the wide concensus that taking the minimum number of credits for 5 years is worthwhile.

The work load is tremeandous. Georgia Tech expects A LOT from students. There is an extremely rigorous course load involved, and I would consider it a very high-stress environment.

The best part about Georgia Tech is also the worst part about the school. It is very challenging academically. As a student, you have to remain focus on academics or they can get away quick. Sometimes I will end up having 3 or 4 test in a week. Those weeks are the hardest, because each class is important so you are try to study as much as possible. Usually you get a break after a test, but when you have 3 or 4 in a week, it grinds on you mentally.

I think the classes are a little too difficult to actually learn and keep in your brain. Most students tend to learn things the day of class and then end up forgetting. Most students also end up cramming too much information right before the test.

The work load and the teachers not always being able to speak english and how unfriendly a lot of the studdents are.

The students are so anti social. Most students idea of fun is playing video games. Most students do not work, their parents pay for them so they do not appreciate the value of money.

The worst thing about this school is there is only ten minutes between classes ending and then next scheduled one beginning. With a very large campus and unreliable shuttle system, getting to the next classroom can be difficult.
