Knowing what I know about college now, if I could go back in time and talk to myself as high school senior I would plan how I would pay for my tuition eariler than I did. I applied to colleges depending on my major and the location that is closest to home. After getting my decision and being notified how much it would be to attend the colleges shocked me. After talking to my counselor and basketball coach about going online to apply for schorlarships, I knew if I known about these opportunities sooner I would've use them to my advantage. If I can go back I would also research more about the scholarsips the school I applied to offers. Because of the late notice I had about scholarships by the time I looked online for them they were all closed for the year. Knowing my parents are not where they are financially to pay my way through college on their own, I know I should've been doing more research to help them.

If I could go back and give myself advice about college life I would most likely tell myself to opeen my mouth and ask questions. There was so many things I did not know about my college financially and I didnt't care to know to be honest I just was so excited that I got accepted into college that asking myself "would you be able to afford this school?, would finacial aid give youu enough to actually stay here?" I wish i would have asked myself and others those questions because I definelty don't believe I would be going through What I am going through now. I have a passion for learning and I knew GCU was a small college and i knew I would get the one on one learning that I needed I guess thats why I was so quick to come here, not thinking that I could not afford it.

Hard work pays off in the end. I should have applied myself through out my entire career through school. I should have also been better prepared because college is much harder than high school every was. The best thing I could have done would have been more organized.

Take advantage of all education oppurtunites, finishing high school is just the beginning. The furter you educate yourself, the better your career choices will be. I know everyone needs a break sometimes after high school, but try not to take a long excessive break, because sometimes you lose focus and dont wanna get back into the habit of things.Education can take you a long way in life if you do the right thing and avoid negative obstacles and stay clear minded on what your trying to achieve as your goal. So start planning for the future today, and stay on the right track and success should follow you to the near future. No one said it was going to be easy, so keep a leveled head and follow your journey to a career and dont let anything distract you.

If I could go back and talk to myself I would have a few suggestions. I would tell myself to take a career or profession test to help determine what exactly they would want to do. Another suggestion would be to do as much research on whatever career they chose to do. I would tell me that the most important thing to do would to be research how to pay for it. That there are lots of ways and options to help pay for their education.

If i could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior. Knowing what I know now about college life and making that transition. The advise that i would give myself would be before entering college to have a plan with an outcome. That college you need to mentally and physically prepared and focused. To study study study and have a positive outlook that in the long run it will pay off. Also with entering college knowing what you want to major in and staying with that degree is potential switching can play a negative role by putting you behind further from your graduation date.

I have always tried very hard to be an excellent student. I have worked diligently to maintain good grades, establish good academic relationships with my professors and advisors, and to find a successful career path. However, one thing I have come to realize is that there is more to school than just academics. Another vital aspect of a well-rounded education that I have seemed to overlook after all this time is the importance of extra-curricular activities. So if I could go back in time and give my high school self some well-needed advice, it would be to get involved! Being a part of the social community at your university, whether it is through a club, volunteer work, or even a sport, instills in a person qualities like teamwork, compassion, and drive. It allows one to be socially connected to others who have similar goals and interests and, conversely, to be open to new and diverse views and experiences. Ultimately, getting involved promotes personal growth, great social skills for future job endeavors, and teaches one to become a contributing citizen in their own community. For these reasons, this is the best transitional advice I could possibly give myself.

The classes I have taken to meet G.E requirements help me understand the world, different points of view. College is valuable because it makes me more competitive in the market place, it has also help me to interact with people I wouldn't usually encounter in my everyday life.

Going to Georgian Court University, I've learned a lot about myself. Being on my own forced me to make descions and truely get to know myself. I've also realized how far I can push myself with acedemics as well as athletics. Balancing school, track, and family taught me vauable time management skills. Another skill I've learned is patience. Dealing with all girls all the time isn't the easiest and it can get crazy, but it's a great learning experience. It teaches you quickly that you need to have patience with people. I've learned how to live with others and aproach them with problems in an appropraite way. Attending Georgian Court has been a great experience so far, and I hope to it continues to help me as well as others learn more about themselves.

In the past two and a half years that I have attended Georgian Court University, not only have I grown intellectually, but I have developed and matured greatly as a young woman. As it is an all women campus with men enrolled in evening classes many of the courses focus on a woman's perspective which is something that not only helped me to open my eyes to the trials and downfalls we as women have faced, but all of the obsticals we as women have also overcome. The school emphasizes women's success and equal rights for everyone. The campus is full of diversity and I am constantly meeting new people who never cease to amaze me. Not only am I learning the skills to become a knowledgable and valuable Social Worker, but I am also learning who I am and what my role is in society and in my everyday environment. Georgian Court University has helped me to become the individual that I am today, and I am proud to say that.

So far out of my college experience I have gained much more knowledge, everlasting friendships, and more responsibilty. It has been valuable to attend because I am learning how to live on my own and I am gaining more maturity.Being 5 hours away from home has made me become more independent because my family isn't 5-10 minutes away.I am enjoying my college experience and I know the rest of my years will be even more enjoyable.

I've gotten responsibility out of being at college. It has taught me to know when i have time to do certain things. I'm a commuter and i'm at school early in the morning and i have classes everyday. I have to know when to leave for school and when to do my homework. It was kinda difficult at first but i've gotten used to when i can do my work and when i can't. I really enjoy Georgian Court University. All the teachers are really helpfull and i know when they can help me and when they can't.

So far all I can honestly say I had very good college experience. The people were so friendly and helpful to all of the freshmen. It took awhile before I got adjusted to the environment, but it was all worth it. You learn so much, and get to be involved in various activities and meet so many people with different backgrounds.

If i could go back in time and talk to myself, I would tell myself be sure look up the financial aid options that are avaliable. I also would tell myself to work on better study habits. In high school I was a big procrastinator and if I would have been better prepared, my freshman year would not have been such a struggle!

As a senior I did not participate in many activities. All I did was work 32 hours a week every week. I would say I did not have much of a life. Knowing what I know now with filling out applications for college and college organizations I would tell myself to get involved. The college and the organizations always asked if I did any volunteer work or joined any club or sports during my senior year and I always replied with a no. Colleges and Universities really look down upon that. They want to hear you weren?t the wall flower in high school. I am trying to justify my decisions senior year through my two younger sisters by taking them to our local nursing home to volunteer.

If I were to go back in time when I was a senior; there would be a lot of information I would tell myself about the college life. During my journey to my senior year, I would help generate myself into learning more about the educational requirements that college teaches us. The advice that I would give myself would be to better student, get the understanding of passing my test due to test anxiety, teach myself to better comprehend the work given to me, and to find my rhythm of being in a larger class room setting. Further more, I would get my teacher?s to help me better understand the criteria that they are teaching me. Also, to tell myself know that college life isn?t all about parties and sororities. College is about making a commitment to your work studies that way you can achieve the goal of graduating. Nonetheless, my top priority would be to tell myself to not worry too much about college because it hasn?t come yet. To let myself know that whatever I?ve learned so far will help me accomplish whatever I will learn throughout my college years.

Going back in time to be a hischool senior again is something that I always used to think about. There are so many things that I would tell myself in order to be better prepared for the college life and making a smoother transition. I would some it up in five simple peces of advice that would have made the transition a little smoother. The first thing would be that college and highschool are two different worlds, the work may be familliar but the load does not compare. The second thing would be that you are soley responsible for yourself, there is no bell that tells you to go to the next class or when it is time for lunch. The third thing would be to do all your assigmens in their entirety, dont skip steps because the professor goes over everything. The fourth thing would be to not spend your money on things you dont need because most dinning facilities are closed on the weekend and you might need it then. The fifth thing would be to be active and get involved , you make more friends and you are less homesick.
