Our school is a very tight knit community that has a lot of fun while learning a great deal.

This school has a unique sense of community that is uncommon elsewhere. There is a culture of smiling and saying 'Hi' to people you don't even know when you pass them walking to class, of holding doors open for people 50 feet behind you, of the entire campus being outraged in the rare occurance of a theft or bias incident. It is a very connected school that acknowledges and values this quality about itself.

It is in the middle of nowhere. And five generations of my family have attended the school.

The most unique aspect about this campus is its focus on integrating so many different topics including community, servcie, faith, learning, service and overall excellence.

Gustavus is a smaller campus that really focuses on communtity. Professors and staff are very friendly and interact with the students on a personal level. Gustavus strongly emphasizes students involvement in many other areas besides academics such as volunteering, sports, and student groups.

It's Lutheran and Swedish History. I am of Swedish descent and was raised as a lutheran. These two things were very important to me. I got exposure to Swedish history, language and culture that I wouldn't have had at other schools I considered.
