I suppose the most common stereotype among the students body itself is that Haverford students are awkward. A lot of people also say that Haverford is a place for really intelligent and varied students, though a lot of people think that kids here generally must be weird--or are hippies.
Cameron
Haverford kids are supposedly socially inept.
Megan
That we are a nerdy, bookwormy college, that we are the sporty nerdy college, that all the men are short, that in general people here are unattractive
Harper
That they are all nerds and hippies.
Davo
They are awkward, dorkish people, generally friendly but without much social skill. Unless he or she is in a Haverford setting, the Ford does not know how to interact. Small talk is generally a concept that the minds of these students cannot process, and typical conversations here end up with philosophical twists that can be too deep, complicated, abstract or detached for their own good. Because of this, the dating scene is terrible, the dancing is stiff, but the people nonetheless try to make you feel welcome.
Alison
The most popular stereotype I heard before coming was that every student is a nerd and that all Haverford boys look the same i.e. brown hair, glasses, pale, 5'8" and not too attractive.
Patrice
that most of them are very weird.
Annie
I guess I'd say that the stereotypes about Haverford kids are that they're pretty hard-working, and are often quirky. There's also this one stereotype about the Haverford guys: they're all hairy, Jewish, and named Dan.
Jess
Haverford students are all really weird. They are either mega-dweebs, or mega-hippies. Common misconception: Haverford is a community college, most notable because it's name sounds similar to that of HARVARD college.
Sally
awkward, white, upper-class, nerdy,
Torry
We're all short, nerdy, and generally not very attractive. Also we're really uptight. The Honor Code is our life.
Walker
The stereotype is that Haverford men are all short, hairy, and probably named Dan. Typically girls here are seen as "cute" rather than "hot". Generally people say that Haverford students are awkward, but in a fun sort of way.
Molly
Awkward, nerdy, no cheating,
Louis
Work too hard, not attractive.
Harper
the boys are short, the people are awkward, and couples are either casually hooking up or "Havermarried"
Andy
One stereotype is that Haverford is a very liberal college meaning that students can do whatever they want. Another stereotype is that all Haverford students are really weird and don't do anything but drink and smoke pot.
Carson
Haverford students tend to be thought of as nice, socially awkward, and enthusiastic about their studies.
Jo
The major stereotype is we are all big study hard kids with no real lives outside of the library.
Janna
There is a lot of hype about the "typical" "awkward" Haverford student... short, hairy boys (generally named Dan) and girls that are nothing to get excited about.
Reilly
They are pretty liberal (but think they are more liberal than they are), a little nerdy, and cares about social justice.
