It is a very important choice, do not rush. Ask many questions, visit the campus, ask many financial questions.

When it comes to choosing the right college, most parents will push their kids to go to a big well-known school - the school with the best football team, or the one with the best medicine programs. They never take into consideration that their child might not want all of that. The best advise that I could give to a parent is to allow their children's voice to be heard, especailly when it comes to the rest of their lives. College is the best thing that could happen to anyone and when it is the right one, then that helps the child think positive and look forward to a bright future. To students, I would tell them to find something that is comfortable to them. I choose a college that was small because I felt that I would get the most out of school that way and also because it was overwhelming to me to be around so many people. And so far that statement is still true. If you like being around big crowds then choose a big school, the choice is yours. The point is to have fun and that will guarantee a good college experience.

Please make sure u take time and start early in looking for the right college. Please go to school who offers the most money.

Robyn

I would advise students and their parents to visit the college first and ask a lot of questions. Not just to the tour guides but pull aside a random student and ask them how they really feel about the school because that is when you will get the most honest answers. Also assess whether you want to be at large or small campus because it really makes a difference. To make the most of their college experience I would recommend that they take care of all financial issues in advance in order to prevent the stress of financial aid coming up short or not have enough money to live as a college student.

We often say that high school is and will be the best years of our lives, so enjoy it while you can. Stating that high school "is" the best years of your life can easily be said, considering the fact that one is still in high school and has not had a feel for what college is like. I agree with high school being full of very memorable years, but there is also life after high school. College is a stage of maturity and focus, but within all of that one will experience things that may not have been possible in high school. The only problem is that students may have difficulty finding the right college. First, I would advise one to analyze their financial status, and apply for many grants. Do extensive research on your top school choices so that you become aware of what that school is like, and if it fits your wants and needs. Then, if possible, make a visit to your school of choice. In doing this, you will get a better feel of the environment, which is very important. Hopefully after that, one shall be on their way to becoming great leaders of today.

I think you should pick a school by what best fits your personality, not by how good the football team is but by what enviroment suites you best.

Research the school. Don't just go online and read there website, but visit the school. When you visit the school talk to the student who actually go there to see how the school really is. Sometimes the tour guide have a script to go by to where there are telling you the perks and be very professional about it. If you talk to a student they will most likely tell you what it is

It is important that you tour the colleges that you are interested in. Speak to some of the administrative staff to make sure they have your best interest at hand. Try to find current students of your prospective college and talk to them about their experiences. As far as making the most of your college experience, it is crucial that you balance your time between studying and extra-curricular activities. Also, make friends with fellow students who have the same mindset as you.

My advice would be to find the college that is right for you. If you know you can not focus with a lot of people around, chose a smaller school. Just make sure you are making the choice for you, not for your parents or friends. Make the most of your college experience. Get involved with the student activities. But always make sure you dont overload yourself. Your first year is the most importatnt year. Build a strong foundation in the beginning so you wouldn't have to struggle at the end.
