I think that our school is best known for its many bridges and newer facilities. They are well kept and are aesthetically pleasing. Sports-wise, we are known for our very good Men's Volleyball team.

Our mascot, the Mastadon, and the availability of geoscience classes with somewhat well-known professors, makes us well known for that field. Science is a strong field of study at IPFW. Our city has the highest population of Burmese immigrants, so the school holds many programs related to community integration for the Burmese. Through IU, we have a great music program, as well.

"I Paid For What" is what most people say about IPFW. it is a small community college for students who can't afford or don't want to attend an ivy league school. it is sometimes disorganized and assenine, but i enjoy the small classes and one-on-one tome i get with my professors.
