Indiana University-South Bend Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about Indiana University-South Bend? Why?

Victoria

The worst thing about my school is that in the Elkhart campus we do not get the same privliges as the main campus, for example, we do not get advisors to help with our classes.

Brooke

The community between the students. I feel as if it was difficult to get involved with a group of people since I didn't live in the appartments there and had to commute back and forth. Even with student groups on campus it just seemed difficult to get connected with students that have the same interests as me.

Teresa

There are a lot of commuter students that don't live on campus and don't get involved.

Brian

There is a clearly unnecessary political bias in the history, sociology, and anthropology departments, not just individual professors within those departments, which simply makes the classes less productive.

Lorrie

The worse thing about IUSB is the parking problem. If a student arrives later than 9:00 am or before 3:00 pm, be prepared for a long haul to get to class on time.

Megan

The on campus food! It tastes awful, it's over priced and there is very little variety.

Kristi

I attend a fabulous school! That being said, the worst thing by far about my school is the small selection of evening or online classes offered for my particular degree program. I am a single mom and have to work full time during the day. I am forced to take evening or online classes and with my degree there just aren't many Spanish classes available in the evening.

Brian

The connections it has with some of the larger companies could be stronger. The university is a satelite school so its ties with large companies are not as strong as its parent school.
