Through my college experience I have gained knowledge and commitment. I have learned about many subjects I never knew existed. The knowledge I have gotten out of my college experience will help me further my goal in becoming successful. I have learned to be committed to my goal as a student in getting my degree. College has given me the opportunity to further my wisdom within different genres. I value attending and taking up my seat in each classroom I have chosen because I know that in the long run I will be prosperous. College has also given me the perspective of giving to those that are in need. Therefore I want to be successful to give back a lending hand to those in need like I am at this very moment. I have gained synchronism with time itself through living in rhythm with my schedule going from class to class. I have gained the knowledge of knowing I must be fully committed if I want to pursue my education. I am the only one responsible for my education so I value every fact I learn and every professor that is willing to pass their wisdom on to me.

I have received experience, responsibility, and organization. I have learned that it's my choice to be in college; therefore, I am the one in charge of being dedicated to my job as a student. I have become organized in order to follow through with my tasks as a student. I owned up to my new experience as an adult in college and have learned to do the best I can in any circumstance. Every day is a new experience; as a result, in college I have learned many lessons. It is extremely valuable for me to attend college because I am being given the opportunity to excel in life. I am the first person in my family to attend college so I want to succeed mentally, physically, and economically in order to be able to help not only me but others as well. I value the open door that leading to the path I have created towards college, but it is up to me to reach the other side at the end of the path. Everyone is given an opportunity but it is an individuals own responsibility to pursue the chance given which I fortunately have learned in college.

Apply for as many scholarships as you can before the second semester of your senior year. Apply to more than one school, don't just settle for one.

If I were able to travel back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior, I would tell myself to live in the moment. There are a number of things that I look back on and wish that I had not missed because I was so reserved and just not comfortable enough to open myself up to strangers. I would tell myself that it is best not to regret, but better not to give oneself a reason to regret.
