James Madison is certainly known for its high girl to boy ratio. Also, we have been referred to as a mini West Virginia university, because of the huge party scenes on the weekends and most weeknights.

WE HAVE A GREAT BUSINESS SCHOOL, ONE OF THE BEST ON THE EAST COAST. WE ARE ALSO KNOWN FOR THE AMOUNT OF DRINKING, BUT THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING ELSE TO DO INSTEAD OF DRINKING.

JMU is known for it's close-knit community and great social life; however, it is also known for having top notch professors who care about their students education.

Great parties. Everyone that attends other schools in Virginia recognizes JMU as a big party school and rightfully so. The business program is a good one but extremely difficult to get in to and tons of people drop out when they don't make it into the College of Business.

Recently, JMU has been known for the success of our varsity football team. Our Business program is ranked throughout the nation. The campus is beautiful with plenty of new buildings on the way including dorms, foot courts, and a stadium. Aside from that, JMU is known for being a "party" school but with upstanding academic students who are involved in plenty of charitable causes, that shouldn't be a focus.

JMU is best known for its outstanding school spirit and friendlyness. We are always wearing school paraphernalia, and we love to talk to and hang out with prospective students who want to join us at this school. We show huge school spirit at our sports games, where it is a sea of purple of gold. JMU is also known for its academics- they are not too tough but are by no means easy. Our academics prepare us for a successful life after college.

JMU is known for being a big party school, with hundreds of different parties going on at the off-campus housing apartments each weekend. It's also known for having a high female-to-male ratio and very little diversity.

This school is best known for its academic success among its students and alumni. Students who graduate from JMU are usually very successful.
