What are the academics like at Juniata College?

Mary

Academic life at JC is hard, but the professors are all interested in your success as a student and many are even willing to do anything for you to help you succeed. Many professors invite their advisees over for dinner or even take them out to lunch. I've even bought my professor a beer before! Everyone here is pretty personable. Juniata's education is definitely geared toward getting a job and learning. It strives to make us all well-rounded and knowledgable in all areas.

Like you can imagine at any school where students value their education and are trying to make the most of their tuition dollars students study a lot. I like to do my work in the library, which recently renovated the main floor and put in large study tables. Even with a full workload of class I still had time to go out on the weekends and have a good time. I rarely felt completely overwhelmed. Juniata also makes it easy to get a tutor and professors are always easy to get a hold of. That can mean all the difference. Don’t be surprised if professors give you cell phones or home numbers. Students are also really willing to help each other out and you can almost always find students who are looking for study partners or are willing to include you in review sessions.
