Keene State College Top Questions

The AC/heat. Some of the older academic buildings don't have it. Also you have no control over it in the dorms, my AC was on all year... this was great when it was hot out but in the winter it was super annoying. Also the vent was right over my bed soooo I was under a blanket a lot.

The worst thing about Keene State would have to be the winters here. There are a lot of things to do in Keene that involve being outdoors and the winters make it very hard to do so. Keene State always has programs scheduled and things to do which makes up for not being able to go outdoors and enjoy the beautiful scenery the city of Keene has to offer.

The "worst" thing about Keene State is that the curriculum seems to be designed for an apathetic student body.

The worst thing about my school is the difficulty joining organizations. Sometimes flyers are posted but most of the time it is difficult to know who you are supposed to contact about joining a club.

I consider the lack of cultural and ethnic diversity to be the worst thing about Keene State College. While geographics play a major role in the large populaiton of caucasian students at Keene State College, I feel the admissions department needs to make a stronger effort to attract students of different cultural and ethnical backgrounds.

The worst thing about Keene State College, I would say, is the food. The food here is not the healthiest and is mass produced to feed all the students on campus without budget cutting. Theres a so called 'Vegan Valley' corner where you can find some healthy food choices, but not as much as I would like.

Everyone is in a click after freshamn year and ddoesnt want new friends.

Some people figure that they're here simply to party. The thing that they haven't figured out yet is that you don't have to go to college to do that, you can party anywhere.

Probably the partying. There is alot of partying that happens, and I know thats what happens at alot of schools but it can be distracting from someone who wants to learn and is there to get a good education

In my opinion the only thing I wished this school had was a larger athletic department.

The amount of diveristy at Keene State College lacks a great deal. Although there are a few multicultural events many students may not attend because these students have very little to relate to these particular events. The multicultural events o campus need to be organized solely by students organizations rather than faculty.

Binge dringking, smmoking, partying until people passout, and lazy students!

The worst thing would be the way campus housing is assigned to returning students. They do it by a lottery system, which in my opinion is unfair to the Dean's List student who works hard acidemically then either gets wait listed or thrown in an old freshman dorm, over the urned out Pot-head student with a 2.0 GPA now residing in the best dorm on campus.

I think that the worst thing about my school is trying to get on-campus housing after freshman year. Also, it is sometimes difficult to get into classes that you need.

The worst part of the school was the ability to get a job after. The experience there was great, but from a getting a job in your field after, it left a lot to be desired. I was a film student and while the program is emerging and coming into its own, the only reason I am working is because I worked as a server for an Olive Garden and transfered to one when I got home. I was however accepted to USC for film, the best in the nation, so they must respect Keene State's film program.

It isn't really near any attractions or major cities, although it does provide everything you need!

Keene does not seem to have done much for me in terms of finding a job after graduation. However, the services they offer are very friendly and are open to alum.

Keene State College is said to be a city, but it's more like a creepy town full of shady drunks.
