Knox students are seen as brainy, non athletic people. We are also perceived to be a bit on the strange side.

It sounds corny but I don't think there are stereotypes. Sure, we have different groups like every school such as the gamers, athletes ect. however many people can migrate from group to group.

That they are extremely liberal

we're all hippies, the sorority girls are stupid and girly, the fraternity guys are meatheads.

I don't think i've heard any stereotypes specific to knox?

The general stereotype is that Knox students are white, middle/upper-class kids from the Midwest who are more down-to-earth than other student bodies at small, esteemed, liberal arts colleges.

They are pretentious. They are socially inept.

We are wierd and however true that may be there are varying levels of wierd. There is a stigma of being at Knox that says we are really wierd. Also the fact that we go to a liberal arts college makes us all liberal.

Knox students are often stereotyped as strange and liberal. From Galesburg residents' perspective, Knox students are often (but not always) seen as rich kids who have too much to say.

A lot of people say that we're all hippies and ultra-left-wing liberals.

Knox is pretty much percieved as a haven for extreme liberals, hippies, athesists. Its students are generally stereotyped as smart kids who aren't quite at the Ivy League level, but that may be because Knox students definately party.

I have heard that all students at Knox are a bunch of weirdos. I have also heard that everyone at Knox is gay. I hear lots of people talk about the 'Knox bubble,' where students and faculty tend to shut themselves off from the so-called 'townies.'

Some of the stereotypes of Knox students would be that they are bizarre and pretty much out there.

We're all brainy and weird. All Betas are jocks. The sororities aren't like others.

That everyone here is a liberal, and either a foreign exchange student or a rich Chicago kid.

People think Knox is really intellectual and doesn't have a life outside of academics.

Smart ass, strange, individualistic, smart people.
