Somthing unique about my school is the student population grows very slowly and there are not that many students here. At Mansfield, you are consider a person with a name, not a number like at Penn State. I feel like am part of a big community here. Faculty remember my face and my name. They even like to start a conversations with students.

My school is set in a very rural area of PA, about 30 miles from the NY border, 50 miles from the closests mall and 4 hours from Philly. What i noticed first was more of the diversity. School seems to be recruiting students form the Philly area, which i love, esp as another student of color, wishing & hoping for more diversity. The programs that the university offers are excellent in the sense that it really keys into local area jobs that can help the local keep its pride.
