If i could go back and talk to my high school self. I would tell myself to buckle down and get the best grades possible. Colleges look at all your years of high school and every grade affects what school you get into. Also make smart decsions when you first get to college. Do not get caught up in the wrong crowd when you get there and then start messing up your first semester. That is when they say most students do the worst. Just don't get caught up with all the parties and staying out all night. Make sure you time all your assignments so you do not have to rush to get anything done and that everything is done to the best of your abilities.

If I could go back to my high school self there are many things I would change. I have made a lot of mistakes in my life between then and now but I know I have only grown for the better since. So, knowing what I know now when I was a high school senior I would have definatley stayed more focused and took my education more seriously. Because I wasn't I was not able to go the college after i graduated. I first took a semester off then took 1 1/2 years to complete 15 credits at a community college. I feel as though not being focused caused for me to have to put a hold on my career goals. I know look a back and think if I had only tried a little harder in high school I could have been completing on bachelor's degree now and possible preparing to start on a master's degree. All it takes is a little focus and determination and the possibilities of your future can be boundless. Im just glad I know now and can create new goals to acheive.

In high school I was always scared when it comes to talking to boys. People have always told me that they are young and have only one thing on their mind. Natural when I went to college my mind was open to the possibilities of finding my first real boyfriend. Now I?m in love with a guy, who is in love with another girl that has no feelings for him at all. It?s my first year and I?m already a part of a love triangle, which makes me feel so obtuse. Falling in love was not my intentional plan. Now I must dig deep inside of myself to find the strength to overcome this crazy predicament. If only there was a way to numb the feeling. I will not let that get in the way of my success though. I am the first Fabien to go to college, and I will be the first Fabien to graduate college. No boy would stand in the way of my success. If I could go back in time I would warn myself to watch out for one particular boy named...

If I could travel back in time to give myself advice about making the transition into college, I would tell myself to research all the carrer posibilities that are related to my hobbies. I would tell myself this because I would expand my options of finding a carrer that I would enjoy.

The first thing I would tell myself 3 years ago would fill out more scholarships for college. For the past couple years I didnt know the importance of filling out as many scholarships as posiible. I created a debt for myself that I will have to pay after I graduate and if I did know the value of schorlarships, I am sure that my debt will have been llower or quite possibly no debt at all. Students shlould go through college having scholarships pay for your hard work. Doing such will have students live more worry free and possibly have more money in their own wallet in the near future. To insure that i have as many scholarships pay for my tuition, i try to fill out as many as two scholarships everyday. I also have to look at the situation with optimism and hope.

If I could go back and give myself advice as a high school senior I would have to tell myself to not to try and take 18 credits the first semester, that high school and college are two different thing just because you did very well in high school does not mean you will do very well in college. I would say you have to be very foccused and be very determind to do well, your future is in your hands and dont let the excitment of freedom take you away from your goals always think with your G.P.A first.

I would simply tell my self college is what you make it. You need to strive to be the best because noone will hold your hand through anything.

If I had the ability to go back and talk to myself as a high school senior I would make sure that I stress the importance of time management. As I have moved through my college career I have found that my number one key to success has been the ability to properly manage my time. Throughout my college career I have been a member of my school's marching band, which practices about 4 hours a day and travels every weekend. Needless to say, this takes up the majority of my time. When talking to my high school self, I would make it known that if you don't have a set schedule for your school work and don't properly manage the little free time that you do have, then you can easily fall behind. Another thing I would tell myself is that you absolutely do not want to fall behind in your first semester. I see so many college freshman faltering in their first semester and then have to climb their way out of the hole they dug themselves thoughout the course of their college career.

If I were able to go back in time and talk to my past self as a high school senior knowing what I know now about college life and making the transition the advice I would give to myself would be first to start taking college courses now!!!!! So when you go to college you'll already have some credits under your belt. Second, I know you may think your in love now, but if your boyfriend really cares about you he will understand that your education is important to you and that you don't need to be around him 24/7. Third, get all of your general classes completed at a community college, then transfer those credits to the school of your choice. You'll save money and not go into major debt for loans you took out to pay for tution. In addition, to the last statment do not, I repeat do not cash the rest of the loan check and blow it on gas, food, or clothes. Put it into a savings account because books cost a lot of money. The final words of wisdom would be to have fun. No one should keep you caged.
