If I could go back in time and speak to myself as a high school senior I would tell myself numerous things to prepare me for the college life. I would have explained to myself the importance of publishing work that I have written over the years and how that would help me to prepare better for internships that I would like to obtain in the future. I would explain to myself the importance of applying for scholarships and how it would have been less money out of my parents? pocket. Parents need all the money they can get because they still have to live at home and support the family while still paying for my tuition. I would also explain to myself the importance of exercise. If I would work out every day it would help increase my energy level and keep my mind sharp and ready to solve any problem at a rapid pace. Also I would explain to myself the importance of healthy eating. At college I am surrounded with the temptation to eat unhealthy but if I got into the habit of eating correctly I would not settle for the unhealthy foods that I eat daily.

It's a bright sunny spring day on April 26, 2009. I am staring at my reflection in a spotless rectangular mirror. Excited thoughts about prom and graduation spurns within me. When all is over the next step is college. As a college student in the present who is revisiting my past as a high school senior, I would tell myself something I have learned from a beautiful fremale sophmore my first day living on campus: "college life is what you make it". Then I would say "You must determine the type of lifestyle you will live and make the choices neccessary to achieve it without being hindered. It's your choice to either live a raggedy life filled with irrational partying and drinking or a refreshing one with peace and order". Then I would say " attitude will effect your latitude" which is something I learned from a gospel song back in 2008. My goal is always to achieve excellence, and since I know that won't be easy, reminding myself to have the attitude of faith and determination prepares me for anything. "Don't let anything get in the way of your success" will be my final words.

Being able to talk to myself as a high school senior would be the biggest advantage. Not only is it more advice to learn from but the advice is unique to my interests and concerns about college life.I would tell myself, ?Every thing will get better from here, maturity and determination will take us to a new level of success. Partying in high school definitely is a benefit, we are all partied out and have our nose stuck in the books for the most part. Studying is actually fun, the information is not the same stuff we heard in high school. College is much easier then high school because we have so much more time to do our work and study. Surprisingly being away from home is not a big problem. There is always something to do that there is no time to be home sick. Since we like to eat good food Morgan is a big problem in that area. The food is not that great but the family is always supplying food to stock the refrigerator with! Just know where you want to go in life and put your goals in front of you reach for them.

If I were to go back into time and give Christopher Eli Courtney advice, the advice that I would give him would be this, ? Christopher you are going to make mistakes but please be sure not to make the big mistakes, because the big mistakes may be that thing that cost you your life.? As I experienced the college life for the first time ever, I realized that I could do anything I wanted to do, due to the simple fact that my parents were not there to tell me that I could not. For that reason my curiosity caused me to try some things that I knew my parents would not approve. Drugs, sex, gambling, and drinking were all present on this college campus and they where all topics and things that sparked my curiosity. But the advice I would give to myself would be to realize that some of these things could be a big mistake. So, decide to keep your focus on the books and as the semester continues you will see what could have happen if you had made those big mistakes.

Dont go in assuming everything will be the same because it isnt. college is way different from highschool now yu are in the real world and there is no one there to hold your hand through it all. this is your education . there are no teachers to go easy on your extend the deadlines and or take it easy because they wont. stay focus and stay ahead

Enjoy your life now. You will soon miss the small things you mother does for you. The home cooked meals will come to a hault and you will be forced to eat the cafeteria food even when they dont have many vegetarian options. No one will remind you to clean up the mess you made in your room or to wash your clothes. Once you pack up for college you will leave all your childish ways behind you and have to face the world as a young woman on your own. All in all have as much fun as you can now and get mentally prepared for the big move in August.

apply for scholarships early

GRADES MATTER THE MOST! Do well in school, and you will be fine when you get to college. Take this seriously and DO NOT under any circumstances play around-your future depends on it.

Since I graduated early, I would probably try to convince myself to stay in school the full 4 years, and take my time in graduating and save my money, and really research how to pay for college. I would tell myself that College will be there, and I need to focus on high school and figure out how to pay for college.

Knowing what I know now about college I would have defenitely told myself to do things on time and not procrastinate when it came to things like my FASFA and applying for housing. I would tell myself to be more prepared and get more involved in things and activites on campus do not waste your time always in your room bored, so something that can help you as well as others. And lastely I would tell myself to be exactly that myself I do not have to change who I am for people to like me because my actions and personality speak for itself, if you stay true to who you are people will notice.
