If I can go back in time when I was a high school senior, I would tell myself that it going to be a lot harder and more independent. If I knew how complicated is going to be to manage to play sports in college with school work, I would off tryed to get myslef well perpared for it. Some of the advice that I would off giving myself is to try to mange my time in school so when I came to college I would off been use to it. Then also know when to get my class work and homework done before the last minute while playing a sport. If I was to know that college was going to be like this I would off been more perpare for my classes and have a better time mange skills.

My advice would be to start early. There is never a time that is too early to start looking at colleges and scholarships. In fact the earlier the better, it will be a lot easier for you in the long run. I wish I could go back and do everything differently but I cant. I just hope that i can help others succeed. I wish I had a mentor there to guide me. Another piece of advice would be to take your academics very seriously! It really is the key to getting into a great college and getting as much money for school as you need. But also take every day at a time, dont stress yourself out to the point that college isnt fun. It really is an amazing experience that is deffinately worth it!

If I could go back in time to my high school senior year and give myself advice I would encourage myself to pay attention. I would say Tiffany although, this period in your life seems meaningless to you it is one of the most important era's in your life. The actions you choose today can affect your future tomorrow. Be grateful for your teachers and cherish the memories of your highschool experience. Lastly, enjoy high school is fun but college is definatly the best years of your life.

Once students hit college they are always in for a suprise. Almost every student would change one things about their high school career or just about what they know in high school. If I could go back to my senior year of high school, I would tell myself not too wear myself out. My first year of college, I attended the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. There I had two off-campus jobs, was involved in six different clubs and organizations and also double majored and double minored. I love being involved and busy but I did not realize the damand the classes alone would have. I basically bit off more than I could chew. I am still capable of being busy but there is only so much anyone can handle. I had to learn this the hard way.

Overall college experience has been one of the best experiences I have lived through, I have enjoyed every moment of it. Is interesting becaue I never even planned or thought I would be living on campus for all four years of college but it has been the greatest years of my life and I would do it all over again in less than heartbeat. The experiences, friends, and knowledge I have gained will always stay with me and no one can't take the away from me. College has not just been about the books and burying my face in the studies, I have manage to make amazing friends, do tones of school activities, be an Orientation Leader, work for my school, given speeches infront of hundreds of people, gained an education, and experience life occurrences that I would have never experienced if I was not part of this college. All in all college has been great and it makes me sad is almost over though I'm very happy to feel that I can handle myself out there in the real world after I walk the stage.

I have been graced with a REVELATION and SELF-WORTH from my college experience. Once a young mom Dealing with diapers and such Vomit on my gown and Hair looking rough Someone said "Go back to school !" College bound I was This was definitely New. Reading, Writing, and Learning What A Joyous Thang! I Emerged a New Person with Something to Gain Acheivement, Knowledge, and an A on the Test. I Became A Young Woman No Longer A Mess. A Smart Young Lady with a near perfect GPA, Not just a Mom Not just a Maid I Became Connected To The World Abroad. I was even President of The Anthropology Club! College is an Invaluable Experience to me. It gave me the Revelation of Who I Am and Could Be.

There are alot of activities to do around the school and it is very small so everyone basically knows everyone. The classes are amazing and there is always something new i am learning from a lot of different point of views around the school.

So far I've gotten the most challenging and rewarding educational experience. I've not only altered my views towards other people and their opinions but in becoming more accepting of who and what people stand for I've decided on the person I want to become. College has not only helped me grow and mature but I feel I possess a better artistic ability than ever before. I know how not only to be a leader but I've learned the importance of being a team player as well.

Based on my experience as a freshman last year I can with all honesty say that the transition could not have been any smother. The faculty, staff and the student body was very inviting and helpful when it came to settling in and figuring out the way around campus. Although, being away from home was difficult at first it was comforting living in a small campus where everybody knew everybody, almost like a big family. Being the first in my family going to higher education in a foreign country I was looking for a college with a good quality rather than quantity. Education has always been a priority in my life so coming to Mount Ida it not only gave me the right intensity of challenge that I needed but also the opportunity to live in a community where I was able to make wonderful friends. Thus, going back to the question of what I would have advised myself as a high school senior I would say that I would have encouraged the decision of attending Mount Ida College. The amount of support from the staff, faculty and friends made college life and the transition smooth and enjoyable.

If I was able to go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior, I would give myself better knowledge on private colleges. I would explain to myself that even though I had finacial aid, I would still have to pay the school while attending. I would also tell myself that, if I wanted to go to a private college I would need to make a plan to be able to pay them. My plan would have been to look and apply for jobs within the area where the school is. I would then only attend to Mount Ida College if I had a job in that area as well. If I had a job I would have then found out how much I would have owed the school and made a plan to pay them each week. If I didn't have a job by then, I would then apply to a community college and then attend a state colege with my major instead. If I have known the knowledege that I now, I wouldnt be struggling as much as I am.

Dear Marisa, In order to develop better studying skills, work harder to study and get better grades while in high school because those skills will be extremley benificial to you during your college years. Your future major in Dental Hygiene is an extremely difficult and has a very heavy work load. Study skills are very much needed and your ability to mangage time wisely is always beneficial. My advice would be not to think, "If I can just get through high school...", working to graduate with a high GPA will be a cofidence boost and will help you get into your first choice school and the make the best of your college education.

Shelley, you know how high school is based only on friend status? College is nothing like that. People accept you for who you are, and who you are trying to become. You work hard, you make friends, and you have fun in the process. College isn't a big thing you need to fear, it's something you should look forward to. So forget about that girl who gives you an evil look in English class and forget about that boy who won't ask you to prom, because that's just the short term. The long term is right around the corner and it begins with college. You're going to be so happy with what you choose to do, trust me. Graduating High School isn't the last chapter, it's the end of one and the start of another; and college will be a fun and challenging chapter to experience.

Do you know what the tution cost is? How are you going to pay it? Do you know enough information about the school you're going to attend? If I knew it was like this, I would of told myself to wait a year and work and get enough money and go to go back to school. It's not so easy. The buscar office won't let you registar for class until they know how you're going to pay them. I'm applying for a loan right now... Not sure if I'm going to get ... I hope I do... I still haven't registar for classes and I probably won't for couple weeks.

The advise I would give myself would be is to always get your work done before you plan anything that has to do with your social life. You should never feel pressured to do anything that you dont't want to do. Always remember sucess and determination are jeys to a good career.

I would tell people to search for a school that fits their own personalities, because it is very important to feel comfortable at a school where one is receiving education. It is important to make the most of your college experience, try to get involved in as many organizations as you can. Have a great social life, but don't let it interfere with your school work, because ultimately your school work is the most important aspect of college.

I would tell parents and students to make sure they check out all aspects of the college before they make any final decisions. They should not only find out about their intended major but how many other majors are offered at the school. Many students change their majors a few times before they finally decide on a final choice. Schools with fewer major options will limit students or make students need to transfer to a different school. Campus life is as important as academics also. If a student thinks a school has a great program but can't visualize themselves hanging out on campus, they should seriously consider a different school. As for making the most of school, students need to be serious about doing well. The college experience is about having fun as well as learning but you can't do that if you are so involved in partying that you fail all your classes. A student should also try to be open minded. They will meet a variety of students very different from what they are used to. Be accepting of all even knowing that you may not have to be best friends with all.

Honestly finding the right college is very important and so I suggest that parents be supportive to your children when picking a college. Don?t pressure them to pick a college or major that you like because College is about becoming an adult and starting their future not yours. Students pick a college that makes sense for you. Do as much research on the school as possible even go on a campus visit because looking at their website is not enough. Even talk to the students that are already attending and ask them as many questions as you like about the school i'm sure their willing to help. Also make into account that if you cant afford the school that your going to have to take out loans and pay everything back when you graduate. I would also check out the location of the school and the commute and or the dorms if you are planning to stay on campus. Also see what kinds of activities, clubs, organizations and services that they offer that you might like. And if you want to make the most of your college experience make alot of friends. College friends tend to be lifetime!

College is something that is suppose to be a rememberable moment that should help you fulfill your dreams and make life long friends. So when searching for the right college I would advise students and/or parents to do their research about that particular school. Do not go to a school just because you got accepted, go because you really want to go. If you feel that the schools who have excepted you aren't really a right fit just hold off and apply again to the schools you really want to go to. Do not have other people choice the college or university you go to because it may not satisfy you in the end. While your in college you should join as many clubs or groups as possible. It is always better to be invovled with the school community, including the neighborhood. Try to build a good relationship with the staff and faculty. You should even build relationships with your peers and other students who go to your school. This is good because you are teaching yourself, giving a positive name for yourself, and willing to go that extra mile to succeed in life!
