NCSU has a huge array of classes, majors, minors to choose from! Just because NCSU is so large, DOESN'T mean that you are just a number. I have many professors that are willing to help and know my name when they see me, inside or outside of the classroom.

People think that State is only good for two things, engineering and design. This is not true, I have found that my public relations courses are taught by very smart, helpful teachers. Although we have those big lecture classes where the teacher never learns your name, we also have small, participation based classes, especially once I got into my major.

Big lecture classes in the lower levels and common classes. Class size gets smaller the higher level class you take. Teachers are usually easy to work with and care about their students.

Some teachers are very, very unfair about grading and I do not agree with the way they grade. It's like they need a class on how to be fair, they take more points off one paper than the other for two people who made the same mistake and that really makes me angry but they tell us not to compare papers which means they don't want us to know we are getting lower grades than others with the same answers.

In my experience, its been hard finding a job. I wish that career counselors in CALS were more open to helping out with this difficult process.

The academics at NCSU are very top-class. The professors are extremely helpful, and yes I do know their names, and almost all of them know my name as well. I can always find someone in one of my classes who will help me if I need it. The class selection meets almost all interests (ex: bee keeping), and the education I am receiving at NCSU will help me get a job.

Well most of my classes have been ok. I did lovee my American Lit class. I had Marvin Hunt who was an amazing teacher. It was probably the only class I looked foward to going too. I think teachers that are very passionate about what they are doing really make learning a fun experience instead of a chore.

Although UNC may have the name for being the top in the sciences, NCSU's classes are definitely more rigorous and thus prepare you more for where you would like to go in life.

My classes are small for the most part even though the school is really big. The professors take the time to make sure you succeed and the advisors are really helpful. NCSU prepares students for the real world while getting an education.

some of my professors know me by name, but i am in a lot of big classes where they only know me by student number. my favorite class was biology because the teacher was very lively and excited about the subject. students are very competitive but they also help each other out. i do not spend time with my professors outside of class or know them very personally.

In most of my clases the professor knows the students. The only classes I have had this wear where the professor does not know my name have been my science classes. The classrooms have been large lecture rooms and too many students for the teachers to know by name. However, in any situation the professors could have known my name. It is the student's responsibility at that point to take initiative.

I enjoy my large classes at NCSU because it takes the pressure off of you in the classroom when you just can't focus as well.

You can get as involved or uninvolved in your classes as you want to. Generally professors dont know you name. I am in textiles and I know a lot of the students in all of my classes, but the relationship with professors is not as close.

I know all of my professors names. My favorite classes are PE related class and of course communication class which are my major.

The classes that relate to my major are always relatively small. The elective classes are larger sometimes, but I like that because I'm obviously not as interested in those subjects and don't want to be extremely active.

My favorite kinds of classes are the ones where the professor teaches without a bias. They present an idea but present both sides of it, which develops an atmosphere in the classroom that welcomes discussion. I recently had a professor that was so biased in his opinion on an issue that he was offensive and rude, making it uncomfortable to sit through the rest of his lecture.

If you do not work your ass off and attend the many worshipers in worship then you will certainly die.
