Devin

Lot's of Ohio kids, LOTS of (richass, cokehead) Connecticut kids, and lots of foreign kids. Most people have a "dont give a fuck attitude" as they were not that involved in the college selection process and therefore ended up at OWU because OWU offered them money for no reason. upper middle, upper class, and middle (in that order) socioeconomic backgrounds. Most of the student body is politically aware, but less than 10{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} is active and most of them reside in the Small Living Units community. Predominantly center and left leaning, very few right wings but the surrounding area is pretty blue collar.

I love the student body at OWU. OWU has helped me learn about other people's cultures and ethnic backgrounds. I had three roommates this year, one was from Hanoi, Vietnam, the next was from Jakarta, Indonesia and the last was from California. From these three guys I learned a lot about the different life styles around the country and around the world. This year I joined Sigma Chi and I met more internationals. The population of international students is outstanding.

As a whole, I find that Ohio Wesleyan is an accepting campus. There are some pockets of people that aren't as tolerant, but for me, the groups of people that I hang out with are so accepting that those few people don't really bother me.

Lucy

OWU is diverse in almost all aspects. We have a wide range of students from different contries, religious backgrounds, financial situations, and political views. I have friends from all walks of life at OWU and that is what makes it special, there is a place and groupd for all types.

Danielle

OWU's student body is very accepting, though there are definitely some cliques. There's a sort of social hierarchy, with the east coasters at the top, and the science nerds at the bottom. If you're somewhere in the middle, you can kind of move between the groups, though sometimes it isn't easy.
