Religious and stuck up.

The biggest one I've heard is that we're all a bunch of snotty rich kids.

People think that all of us are filthy rich and that we're snobs.

That it's too expensive and that the students are all rich. Also that it's a christian Universtity so it isn't fun.

People believe that everyone at Pepperdine is super rich and drives a Mercedes or BMW, is completely stuck up and materialistic, is a conservative Christian, is gorgeous and well-dressed, and is intelligent and does volunteer work.

They are all rich and snobby, or religious and cultish.

Pepperdine is full up super-religious, rich kids. The school has an overly religious tone to it.

Rich, beach blond bimbo's and surfer dudes, or either the super Christian kids who have never kissed a boy and wouldn't even dream of drinking.

The most believed stereotype about Pepperdine is that it is really strict and really religious and the rules are too restricting and that we have curfews. There is also the perception that Pepperdine is full of a lot of stuck up kids who have a lot of money and get whatever they want. I would say those two of the most common.

Some stereotypes are that the students are very religious, conservative, and stubborn/arrogant. Pepperdine is seen as a religious institution that does not tolerate fun. It is seen as a "puritan" institution by many.

Pepperdine has a reputation for being incredibly conservative and religious. Pepperdine students are sometimes seen as naive or sheltered. We are seen as prejudiced and opinionated on a lot of issues.
