What is the stereotype of students at Princeton University?

There are stereotypes that Princeton is geared towards the rich and toolish. It is also known as a more conservative, less active campus. It is also not necessarily as prominent as Harvard or Yale because it is in NJ.

Princeton students are often viewed as elitist snobs. There’s a lot of hype about the eating club scene; the stereotype is that all students participating are served their meals by waiters. Academically, Princeton has a reputation of offering an excellent education.

The stereotypical Princeton student is rich, snobby, elitist, pretentious, and smart. This student is slightly more conservative than your typical Ivy Leaguer, but is not very active in campus, local, or national politics. The student is concerned with his/her GPA and will pursues a career in the financial services industry after graduation. He/she drinks, but doesn't do much much in terms of hard drugs.

For instance, Princeton is often perceived as an elite and intellectual institution, and its students as smart, stuck-up, and bookish. To differentiate it from the other Ivies, Princeton is also often seen as more of a traditional institution loaded with old money families and the elite (especially compared with the reputation of some of the other Ivies, like Brown).
