What's the most frustrating thing about Roanoke College?

Sam

The most frustrating thing is how expensive the school is. Roanoke has a lot of great things to offer and I love it, but we pay so much money to go to the school that I feel the students should receive more benefits.

Mutahir

Not always many things to do on campus, campus is not very lively, especially on the weekends.

Tyler

The only thing that I would describe as frustrating concerning my school is the size of the student population (2,100 students). I attended James Madison University my freshman year of college and I liked the large size of the student population there more than that of Roanoke College.

Brenna

The most frustrating thing would be the fact there was a lot of kids from the North there. They got very aggravated when things weren't so close, or there was no high end shopping there like they're used to. Salem is a small town, but not the country. So those kids should be grateful that the town had a lot more than most small towns.

Jeremy

The cost of tuition here at Roanoke College goes up about $2000 each year. Like most students here at Roanoke, we were never informed of such spikes during our 4-years.

Samantha

There isn't anything about Roanoke College in particular that I find fustrating. College itself does take a lot of effort to get through, and Roanoke College is an academically challenging school, but the work is justified and the teachers are there to help.

Sarah

Roanoke College is located in Salem, Va just outside of Roanoke City. It's a very small town so sometimes you have to be creative about entertainment if there isn't anything happening on campus. But, there are some gorgeous mountains to explore and if you look around you will find things to do. Greek-life and their members can be a bit over-whelming and controling on campus -- they party hard and are very closed-minded.

Kassie

It is extremely expenisve, however with the scholarships , it becomes a lot easier to help pay.

Michael

There is one thing that is very frustrating about my school, which is so common among schools. I grew up in a non-alcoholic household. So now that I have moved into a dorm, I realized just how alcoholic campuses are and I have no control over how I can focus when you have rampid drunks running around the halls.
