I love being able to attend sporting events at SCSU for free! With my student ID I've been able to sit front row at D1 Men's Hockey games. This is really cool, because I love watching sports, and SCSU makes it so easy to be involved.

The college spirit, a lot of the students get really involved with spriti weeks, as well as the social gatherings the college puts on has a bunch of attendants each time.

Saint Cloud State University is more affordable than other colleges.

When I talk to my friends about my school, they usually say it's a party school but it's not. I usually brag about the organization I am in; the Hmong Student Organization. In Minnesota, their are many Hmong Student Organizations but our organization is actually more livelier and active than others. I know this for a fact because of the Concordia Conference in St. Paul when a bunch of organizations gathered, and we had the most and were very loud. : D

I don't really brag about my school because I think school is school you either like it or you don't. I also don't like to brag about things because it makes other people feel bad. Different schools provide different things based on their students interests. Before I came to this school everyone said it was a party school but when you live here there really isn't many parties. It's all in what you make of it.

The thing I like to tell people most about SCSU is the study abroad opportunities I am considering. SCSU has a unique opportunity for students to study in a castle in Alnwick, England. Through the Honors Program, honors students also have the opportunity to study at Oxford. Definately an impressive piece to throw into a conversation.

I am mostly an online learner. I like being an online learner because I can mostly go at my own pace while still raising five children and working full time through my current employer. Going online is a little more expensive but well worth it to still be around for my children.

I tell my friends about how great the academic programs are at our school, the teachers at my school are commited to their work and willing to help the students. The school provides a lot of support for academics such as tutoring places for all subjects, and academic advisors, and also our library. I also brag about our library because it is a really nice big place to study in, they have private rooms that students can study in, and nice computer for students to use.
Julia
I tell my friends how great the Honors program is. Despite having about 17,000 students on campus, the small discussion-oriented Honors classes give this huge state college a private college feel. Also, living in the dorms with other Honors students is great - I easily made many new friends simply because we live so close to each other and have many of the same classes! Sharing classes and experiences with people makes the college transition much easier and more fun, and the Honors program brings new as well as returning students together.

I tell about the excellent proffesors I have been taught by. That a tough instructor pushes and encourages you to become successful, and not give up on education. The importance of the value an education has on your future. Also the great speaker that come to my college campus to talk about different ethical issues that we are facing, and ways that "us" the next generation can change. It is a priveledge to go go those meeting and learn some new information, plus it is absolutely free of charge. My college is place to further the education you dreamed about.

I brag to my friends that we have very advanced computers, labs, and new buildings. I also brag that it is a State University.

The cost is lower than most in Minnesota and campus is clean and well maintained. The drive from the twin cities also isn't to bad.
Brent
its a very small university, but offers great education on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River! i have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent here at the university, and I am not overwhelmed by the excessive size that many universities have to deal with. The school has many extracurricular activities and things to do other than just the studying itself.

I can say I'm getting a quality education from teachers who know how to succeed, better yet thrive in their field.
Samantha
The amount of activities that happen on campus and the creativity that goes into making the events happen. The wide variety of areas in which to learn. Learning occurs within and outside of the classroom. The friendliness of those who work and attend the university. SCSU has become my hoem and I let others know how much I enjoy university life.
Kayla
I would brag about my professors., they are amazing. Professors are increadibly willing to work with students based on there needs. If I ever have a question about an assignment or am struggling I can always count on my professors for support. I have never met a professor here that I wouldn't go talk to.

The thing that I brag about most to my friends is; that the G.R. Herberger College of Business at SCSU is one of only five programs in the state that is AACSB accredited. I am proud of this because it shows that I have the opportunity to get one of the best business educations not only in the state but also in the world. There are only 593 schools in the world with this accreditation and I think that this is super cool! I am going to make the most of this opportunity.

The social atmosphere. Everyone here is really friendly and very approachable. You are able to meet friends for life here. There is always something fun going on. Whether it is a party, hockey game, or just hanging out with friends. I feel comfortable here amongst the student population. I feel like you can ask other students for help if you may need some. The teachers are easy to get ahold of and most use email. Overall, the campus is bigger, but has a small community feel to it. I enjoy going to school here.

I brag alot about st.cloud the fact that i live the perfect distance away from home, the fact that i can go home anytime. Also the fact that there is still some distance away from my parents so st.cloud state is a great distance away from home. Also st.cloud state is a great campus, and the campus is good size its not too big and not too small. There are also some great people that i have met here as well.
Katie
I mainly tell them about how If I need help or have any questions I can email the department or office and they'll usually get back to me within a day, telling me all my options where I need to go and do next etc. Also the small campus aspect, but yet a University. Also that I am close to home and The area is familiar to me so I wasnt just thrown in to college.
