There are two things that come to mind. The first is that there are "social groups" at St. Norbert College. Social groups are supportive groups of all girls or all guys that are not as serious as sororities or fraternities. The dues are less and the initiations are less serious. The second is for the teacher education program. During an education major's sophmore year, we spend five weeks in a school and are required to make and teach a 3-5 day lesson plan. This way students get into the classroom before student teaching in their senior year.

Saint Norbert offered a very prestigiuos music program that would allow me to get my teaching certification and still graduate in four years. The campus was small, like the town I grew up in, and I was already comfortable and familiar with the campus itself.
