San Diego State University Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about San Diego State University?

Ardith

The most frustrating thing about my school is the strict rules they put on the students staying in the dorms. While it's nice to meet friends, it feels like a prision instead of a fun experience. It feels like they are just waiting for you to mess up so they can kick you out , and if you get suspended or expelled they get to keep the whole years payment.

Our school was affected by the budget cut, and the fact that our school has more students then there are classes, it significantly affected the ability to get the classes you need for the semester. This has extremely affected when students are graduating from school. It is very frustrating knowing that your graduation date has been pushed back because there are not enough classes for you to take to graduate on time.

Daniela

SDSU has an amazing gym but not a lot of options to eat healthy :(

Alfredo

The most frustrating aspect of my school is registering for classes. There are many students at our school and classes tend to be filled very quickly.

Michael

That there are so many students, but not enough classes being offered for the number of students. So to fix this, the school is lowering how many students are admitted rather then hire more teachers.

Christina

The large size. There is a huge amount of students attending and the buildings can be very far away from each other. It can be frusterating trying to get to class on time in this situation.

Angela

It could stand to be a little more diverse. As well as a little less party oriented.

Alexandra

the most frustrating thing about my school is the furlogh days. Since SDSU lost funding, the classes have gotten larger and the teacher complain more about their pay cuts and how it is unfair to us.

The most challenging part of attending San Diego State University is that it is such a large school, it may seem difficult meeting people and finding your place in such a large univerisity. At times, it may seem overwhelming when you walk around campus and it seems like there are always new people that you have never seen before. From personal experience, I have felt wondering what my place was in a school such as this, and in a swarm of people it may seem as though you are unable to define yourself.

Antonio

The most frustrating thing about my school is the budget cuts. It is so hard to enroll in the classes you want. I wanted to register for 18 credits but the school said no I can only register for 17 and if I wanted to take more I would have to crash those courses. Also nothing seems to get done because of budget cuts, 60 dorm rooms flood everytime there is a little bit of rain and they won't repair it even when we keep complaining.
