Schreiner University Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about Schreiner University? Why?

Kelsey

Though I am enjoying my classes and the convenience of receiving one-on-one with my professors, I wish more students attended this university to give it more of a diverse feel.

Christopher

The worst thing about my school is that the required courses often distract from courses actually necessary to your major. This means that a course in a subject you are not strong in may come along and you are required to take it, damaging your GPA.

Santos

I consider the worst thing about Schreiner University that it is completely lonely on the weekends and that their is not enough activities to do on the weekends.

Brittany

The worst part about Schreiner is that fun events are well advertised across campus, but things such as when class registration is or move in day is not advertised through email or flyer. Also, the internet connection on campus is not very reliable which makes it difficult some times to complete project or homework that requires the internet.

Amanda

The worst thing about Schreiner is that it is located in an area where there is not much to do. For example, you can easily go out to the movies, dinner, or go out to the river/nature trails, but if you want to go "clubbing" or shopping or do anything in town you have to drive at least an hour to do so.

Eloy

Some decisions of what it decides to use money with. (ex: rebuilding a sidewalk when it is not necessary, but just for visual appeal)

Cory

The worst part of Schreiner University is that it costs a lot to go there.

Kara

The worst thing about our school is the lack of school spirit. As cheer captain it is very important to me to get students involved.

Stefaney

Some of the buildings are older and it makes our school look less elite. It would be nice to see some newer ones. It would make the school seem better.

Michael

Walking across campus; it's pretty big but you gotta walk everywhere.

Ethan

On campus parking is a little limited.

Daniel

The cost. Of course this applies to all schools now, especially private universities, but it's pretty expensive to attend here. However, if you did well in high school, there are a number of (big) scholarships available to you. We also have a active financial aid office that sends out emails periodically about scholarships (that's how I got here).

Andrea

The food could be better because I have noticed not a lot of students eat in the cafeteria.

Erin

Sometimes on the weekends it is hard to find fun activites to partake in because of the small size of Kerrville. However, San Antonio is only an hour away from the school but most college students don't have the money for gas to travel to San Antonio for fun.

Herschel

The worst thing has to be the distance. I'm not talking about the hour and a half drive to get here from my house either. The students just don't seem to want to meet new people. I find myself straining to get to know some students and become at least friends ,but nothing seems to work. Maybe that will change.

Kelley

Nothing really, I like it very much. The coaches help you and the professsors are there for you too. There is study classes and people always there helping each other.

Rebecca

What can be seen as my school's worst thing, can also be considered a good thing. It's a very small school and the town it's in is very small, so there's not always a lot of things to do, but a smaller school means everyone knows each other better and smaller classes mean more attention from teachers.

Ruben

There are really no bad things to discuss.

Colton

The price of housing on campus is much too expensive for the quality of living.

Jasmine

you have to drive 50 miles to get to a big mall or club for recreation
