Compared to other schools that I considered before choosing Texas A&M-Commerce is that the teachers here are really geared towards helping you learn the materials. Especially your professors in you major. It's the number one "pro" I listed on my pro/con list of choosing a school. Plus, the degrees offered here are more intensified in that you get more bang for your buck.

The honors college program is pretty unique. The general acceptance of people is pretty apparent as well. Great outdoor adventure program!!!

Texas A&M University-Commerce, although not widely known, has an excellent pre-veterinary medicine program. This university gives students hands-on experience with live animals (cattle, horses, pigs, goats, etc.) as well as the ability to intertwine core classes with basic courses (English, math, history, etc). The location of Texas A&M University-Commerce was also a plus when going through my options. It's not too close to or too far from home.

Texas A&M commerce offers a Bachelor's program that can be taken entirely online. This is beneficial to parents or adults who work but want to continue their education.

I have not met one person (students or teachers) that has not been nice or unwilling to help when needed. It is a very enjoyable and pleasant atmosphere. When I attened a junior college in the past school was just school. Now I love getting up and going to class and when I am not at school I can not wait for the next class day.
