Our school is very laid back and very diverse. This school feels like a community within a community.

the fact that all the hills keep me in shape and that we just got a panda express. i like that it's a small campus and all the buildings are really close and easy to find.

I always brag about the Chi Omega sorority in which i am currently in. The greek life at Texas State is very strong, and has changed greeks image for the better over the course of the past couple years. I think being in a sorority has opened many doors and oppurtunities for me and my fellow students. I am proud to have participated in our Make-A-Wish philantrophy, and work in the community just to say we've given back to San Marcos. I am a more well rounded individual because of this school.

I brag about the school spirit we are known for displaying and showing everywhere. We always demonstrate a very strong pride in our school whether it comes from our academics or our athletics. We are a school driven to succeed and be in the elite ranks of the major schools in texas.I also talk about the satidfaction I receive from learning from teachers who have been there and done what they are actually teaching.

When I want to brag about my school, I usually, tell them about the sparkling clear river that flows right through campus.

The study spaces at Texas State are the most comfortable, homey nooks and cozy spots a full-time commuter student could ask for. I don't live on campus and I commute from Austin so when there's too much time between classes I look for a hidden spot to study or sleep. The LBJ Student Center is filled with spots like these - you feel like you're walking into someone's living room at times., I like the rocking chairs the best! The library also has some wonderful study spots and comfy chairs.

The school is great! People around campus are so friendly and the atmosphere makes the entire college experience more memorable and educational.

When I brag about Texas State University, I normally brag about how challenging the theatre education program is because it makes me feel proud that I've accomplished so much in such a difficult program. It's also neat to be able to tell students from other schools how hands on our school is. Just today I learned how to weld steel...and I'm a theatre major! I also like to brag that we have some really amazing rivers for tubing.
Cristina
How friendly everyone is. And that it is a school that is not too small or too large.
Veronica
We have a river that runs right through us!
