It's a party school, dominated by fraternities and sororities. It's a school for people who aren't smart enough to make it at UT.

People assume that Texas State is a "party school" and the students in it originally planned to attend UT or Texas A&M but were regected. People also asume that because we are a "party school" we are always drunk in class and have little school spirit (because we are so focused on taking shots and playing with sorority sisters and frat brothers).
