Someone who enjoys walking a lot. Also it is a great place socially. There is a great college feel with many parties from Wednesday or Thursday till Sunday. The classes usually are smaller and the professors and nice. Its an overall good school.

I think that the kind of person that would like this school would be a very athletic person. We have a lot of hills, so if you do not like climbing hills then don't come here.

I think any type of person could attend Texas State-San Marcos because i think that all people mixed together makes a very good community.

It is for someone who is willing to walk up hills, first of all. It is for anyone who is interested, anyone wanting to enter the teaching field, they have a superb program. Also, the College of Arts is one of the best known for the creativity derived from the students. This school is great all around, it features provide a healthy, fun, and creative environment for learning. The scenery is great and smack dab in the middle of Austin and San Antonio it provides many opportunities to many of the students to find a fulfilling career.

There's a broad spectrum of students here. It's large, and most people can find someone they have something in common with.

Any person interested in becoming a "Rising Star". Texas State made my transition from high school to a University smooth. Someone willing to learn should attend this school. The classes are perfect sizes and the Professors are charismatic. Anyone who is outgoing and extroverted would love it here. There are soooo many groups on campus its inevitable that you meet new friends. There is also a lot of school spirit on this campus! So many people come out to support our Bobcats, the University makes it so easy by making all athletic events free to students. Go Bobcats!

If you want to fit in, you should be overly excited about sorority/fraternity life and drinking/sleeping aroud/making bad decisions. OR you should be vegan, not own a vehicle, live off 'mother nature' and be a musician...anything in between just doesnt seem to exist here.

Since I transferred in from Southwestern Univeristy, I have come to understand that Texas State has ample oppertunities for the majority of college students, this includes academics and social enviornments.

I think anyone could and should attend this school. There are so many options for majors, minors, and even extra-curricular activities. There are all sorts of groups of people, so it's easy to make friends, and someone always knows the answer to any question you might have. Even if you aren't sure what you want to do yet, the staff here are really friendly, and give you so many options, at the end you'll probably want to do several things.

Texas State is known for being a "party school", but even if you do not like to party, there are plenty of other things to do. There is a river, and outlet mall, and a major city (Austin) just a car ride away, so there is always something to do. My group of friends here are very diverse, from people who like to party, to people who love nature.
