UTK students are all known to be people who party and go out to get drunk all the time. A person cannot have a great college experience without drinking and partying.

It's a party school that is reflected around sports and sports activities. It is also a school where there is a large greek social atmosphere as well.

UTK is considered to be one of the biggest party schools. ive been to my fair share of parties but i can also say that if you wanna avoid the party scene its really easy. people think if you come to UT then you party...not true. UTK students are pretty cool...i haven't met any one that i really clash with.

That everyone here is a hick and southern. A lot of people think UT is a school for people who didn't get in to anywhere else too.

That they are all hicks, which is not true at all no one has on overalls and no teeth and all come from farms. It's not country music and nothing else, all kinds of music are good here. No one is going to hate you because you are from the north, they kinda think its cool that you are different from them.

That it is an easy school to get into.

A stereotype is that UTK doesn't care about education and only cares about our athletic teams.
