UT is the best value education for any college student. The academic standards are high, the social life is great, and the sports teams are always fun to follow. There are 50,000 students, but it does not seem that big. There is something for everyone here.

Albert

Came for the schooling, stayed for the fun. The best thing about UT is sporting events, without them I would have gone crazy. Sure going to a university that offers a Top Ten education in Mechanical Engineering is enough to make me feel pride in my school, but "all work and no play makes jack a dull boy." Also Austin is one of the most laid back towns, I never want to leave. The one experience that I'll always remember is emerging from the tunnel into the stadium stands and hearing the entire crowd (80,000 strong) cheering TEXAS........FIGHT.... It was the equivalent from a scene in the movie Rudy, as his father sees the crowd in the stadium. The hairs on the back of my neck still stand up.

UT is a big school, but students are not just "numbers". There are a multitude of opportunities to meet people and make the university more personable and "smaller".

I spend mostly all my time at the PCLibrary. College town No real opinion on the Admin. The gay professor on a hunger strike for not getting benefits Yes, alot of school pride UT is perfect During one of my most stressful semesters, I was taking a final with no sleep, no food, and all coffee--everything started spinning and my vision was blurred. It was a horrible final. Dont really know

Love, love love the campus and just wish we were a bit more connected to each other,, i mean the student body as a whole

Harper

UT is the greatest college town on earth. It's full of drinking, studying, and it's huge. Best place to attend school since its in a city.

Kendall

The best thing about UT is meeting so many people and making contacts.

peter

Best things about UT are the school spirit, great athletic and academic programs, and Austin.

I think UT is the perfect size in terms of number of students. The giant student body allows a spot for everyone to feel at home. I think the campus is beautiful as well. The engineering buildings are a bit ugle, but that is ok because I am never going to class in that area. I think class sizes need to be reduced. Also, the constant noise from construction and cars/buses are annoying.

One of the best things about UT is how much the university and city of Austin can offer a student outside of academics. Academics are very rigorous and rewarding here, but there are plenty of other things that make this university great. The athletics are excellent both at the division one level as well as club teams and intramural sports. there is a great deal of school pride. Everyone is happy to tell you that they attend the University of Texas. One thing is that some of the classes are so big that they are hard to pay attention in and there is little one on one time with professors.

craig

UT is a very large public university. Diversity is everywhere. I couldn't think of anything that I wold change about UT.

Jonathan

Austin is the greatest place you could ask for in a College town and attracts top notch students and professors. We have a lot of school pride. The only thing I would improve would be to make some classes smaller, like organic chemistry.

Scott

The best thing about UT is the sports and the national recognition they have

Josh

Athletics are great at UT. There is a lot of school spirit especially when it comes to football, basketball, and baseball. Austin is a great city. There is a lot to do in Austin and also a lot to do in the surrounding area.

Alex

The University of Texas is a large environment but one in which you can find your niche. It is easy to find people you relate to and the smallest organizations can make an impact on the campus and community. Austin is a huge town, I would not really consider it a college town. It does offer lists of great adventures and opportunities. When I tell people to come to UT they already know about it and most of the time say it is on their list of schools.

Brett

Our football tradition, our tower, our academic prestige, and the city are four of the best things about UT. We have awesome football tradition and great game day experience, and a very recognizable tower. We have a great school academically and an awesome city for college age people.

Blake

-social scene, academics, and sports are awesome -the top ten percent needs to be taken away. maybe then people that really deserve to get in will be admitted

Ryan

The University of Texas college experience is driven by student organizations. Whether it be greek, spirt, or service organization, joining a student organization enhances the college experience. I cannot imagine my life to this point without the friends and relationships that have come because of my student organization. With 55,000 students, you have to find something to make the school feel smaller. Student organizations do just that and in addition help mold people into the good longhorns and good citizens they will ultimately become.

Alex

Texas is great, the traditions, sports and classes are great. The best part of Texas might be that its located in Austin so we have the best of both worlds. On one hand, we have a great college atmosphere but Austin is also a booming city so there are many internships and 6th street.

Zach

UT is a great school. While it is a big school, it does not seem like it. I always feel like I run into people I know. When I tell people from home i go to UT, they seem surprised. Not many people from Florida come here. It is also a lot of fun. I doubt there are many other schools that have something like a 6th Street.
