If you are going to college to seek freedom from your parents and to party, Truman is not the place for you.

STUDY! I came here a 4.0 never-openned the book kinda kid. Truman will make you feel stupid if you dont try this time around. Dont underestimate your classes. I wouldnt trade my experience for anything. My fiance goes to Mizzou and I've sat in on class and heard the stories and know about the lack of homework, and I'm still learning more and I feel that I am benefiting more. Remember Truman may seem harder, but who would you rather have teaching you, a grad student or a bonafide professor?

If you want to have as much fun as possible, go to Mizzou. If you want to be competitive and successful... and be recognized as such, go to Truman.

Truman is an awesome school that people often overlook. I don't know of many people that chose truman as their first choice and many people were upset about going to a school that is in the middle of nowhere, but now those people are in love with the school and couldn't imagine being anywhere else. The town is basically made up of college students and professors with a couple townies thrown in. It has such a homey feel to the town which is nice if you are leaving home for the first time.

Truman is not a school that I would choose to go to if I could go back, it honestly has to tell it's self that it's the best in order to feel like it's accomplishing something. The billing process is atrocious in the fact that it doesn't tell you what you're being billed for and that most of the things are easily over a thousand the you're paying for. The average cost of Truman is predicted to be 12,500! Yeah right it cost me close to 17,000 with out the cost of my food and gas when the meal plan went heads up!

Truman is awesome. It's safe. It's its own little city that creates almost a surreal bubble for 4 years. It prepares you well for life after college

Truman is really just a great school that makes you feel comfortable and safe. the small town makes it hard to get lost and keeps out some of the dangers and distractions that come from a larger town. the people are really friendly and its just a nice place to be.
