The parking is awful! And there are too many students that are not serious about school.
Brianna
The worst thing for me is that they don't have my major but they have it as a minor option. Aslo it would be great if the food was a little better or they had more options.

I haven't found one yet.
Chardonnay
I haven't been going to school long enough to know that.

The academic advisors and other people who work to help the students are not very helpful. Many of them don't know their job positions very well. As a result, the students are jerked around a lot. Also, we get charged way too much for student fees, and they're constantly rising.

The worst attribute about my school is the cost. While I am very determined to pursue my education and fulfill my dream of becoming an engineering manager, the cost of education is rather discouraging. Each year, the University of Alaska Anchorage's cost of tuition rises. This rise in cost is a detriment and deterant for most students , as well as myself, in continuing their education and pursuing their lifelong goals. With the rise of tuition each year I must continue to work full time to help pay my college bills. I truly wish education could be more affordable.

The worst think about UAA is the lack of college atmosphere, there is no real college part of town, no college bar, it seem that most people just want to go to school and not necissarly interact or make new friends.

The worst thing about my school is all the bad habits people carry. Some of the bad habits are: Smoking, partying, and drinking too much.
Arlene
The variability in courses offered for each major.

I consider the worst thing about my school 's shuttle bus do not offer service on weekends. I have to study 28 hours a week. I like to stay at Student Union to study and eat everyday. I have to take public bus to be able to use the computer and meet with my study buddies. It is very inconvenient because I have to use other transportation which I paid fees already to the university. That is why I consider the worst thing not having a shuttle bus during weekends.

UAA's online systems need to be connected. Having to sign in the webmail at one location, sign in to the Blackboard at another location and yet UAA online at another location is redundant.
Heather
The worst thing about the University of Alaska Anchorage would have to be the quality of service from many of the different departments, such as Housing, Financial Aid, the Registrar's Office, and the mail system, (which works through Housing.) The mail, for one example, is often 'lost,' even when there is a tracking number attached to it. I have personally 'lost' over $500 through UAA's mail system. The money was sent to me at different times, from different people, in different forms. Any time money is sent, it disappears; it is the same with several other students.
Tenishia
I dont really think there is a 'worst thing' about UAA other than that it is in Alaska which means it is cold.
Meneka
There is a lack of funding, or at least a lot less funding, for many academics. A lot more money in the budget goes towards sports and building additions to the campus instead of academic programs.
Deanna
I think the worst thing about UAA is how spread out everything is. It's hard to get to classes on time.
Karlee
The worst thing about University of Alaska Anchorage is that there is not a connection between students. The campus is so large and diverse that the students barely get to know each other. It is hard to get to know anyone on this campus.
MacKenzie
The worst thing about my school is that class hours are not always suitable for the working student, hence making the college life difficult because I am not able to take the classes that I need.
Katherine
Lack of covered walk areas is the worst part about UAA. It is slippery and cold outside and covered walk ways would definately be nice!
Derron
Most of the people are very gullible and close-minded.
Brian
Since they let anyone in, the people can be just that--anyone. It's not terribly far from the poorer parts of town, which brings some unseemly folks, student and non-student alike, to the campus. It's too expensive for what we get.
