If you are the type of person who does not study and parties constantly, then it will be difficult for you. The teachers expect you to put in the time and effort to do work for their class. If you work full time and want to go to school, then only go part time and don't run yourself down by not getting homework done. Teachers at UAA consider classes as another job and you are there to complete your job and put 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} into everything for that class.

Generally, people who lack a passion for education have no business seeking a college degree. It not only waste the time of the individual, but the time of the staff involved. Higher level learning is too expensive to go to just because "everyone does it" or "I can't get a good job with out college", because that sort of mentality will lead to failuar and wasted money. Anyone who desires to learn and to become better will enjoy any school willing to teach.

College is achieveable, but if you dont have motivation, determination and a good work ethic it usually doesn't work out. Anyone in my opinion can do college, no matter the situatiuon. We are all human we get upset, depress about low grades but you have to stay positive and push yourself through thoses hard times. So I believe anyone can attend college but a person needs to possess those characteristics to achieve college successfully.

A person who wants a strong sense of community, and a smaller school. It takes some work to find a place to fit in because there are so many students from many different backgrounds, and there isn't a common purpose to draw students together.

Person(s) who should not attend this school are those who do not like cold weather, short days with minimal sunlight. Also, a person has the wrong perspective upon entering the university that it is perceived that the course load is easy because its only Alaska, should not attend. The campus is very diverse and faculty is always eager to assist.
