I have asked myself this question many of times and come up with the same answers along with other students. I wish I had more family support, more honesty from the college when attending college. for the first time. A student starting out needs to be steered in the right direction, therefore, success will be the end result. I work at the Mat-Su College and I give as much information as possible to help student pick the right classes, save money and help them relax. That to me is so rewarding and important. Honesty is the best policy.

I wish I had known to not expect the university to have all the correct answers to my problems. I had to do extensive research on my own with little to no assistance from the faculty. They were often unclear and indirect. I wish I had been more assertive about what I wanted and expected from my university instead of expecting the university to help me through. In otherwords: be pro-active and informed.
