When I first came to UCI I was not too happy. I missed all my friends at home and did not care about making new friends. After the first quarter I decided to give it a chance and so I hung out more with my team, I talked more to the people I live with. And I joined campus reps. Being a third year now, I love it here. I am enjoying my time at school, hanging out with friends, and feel that I am being more prepared for my future career every day. The most important thing I can stress is to get involved. No matter where a student goes to school, they will not have a good time if they do not get involved with their school. You get to meet people from all over. The school provides so much for all students and it is important to take advantage of it!

The truth is not everyone I knew loved UCI. Some people I knew hated it but in those cases, I believed they would have done much better at a small liberal arts school or at a big sports school -- depending on their personality.

UCI is a good university for students who want a studying environment. The city of Irvine is pretty quiet itself and the campus follows. However, there are parties always going on, but it is not a crazy partying campus like UCSD.

All in all, UCI is a place where you have to be involved to meet people, either in classes or activities on campus. I would like a campus with more school spirit and more of a college feel but I love this school and the people in it. I have had some of the greatest times here and I really look forward to my senior year.

UCI is an awesome school and I am glad to be an Anteater. In the very beginning of my college career I was not sure about coming to UCI, however, now I wouldn't go to any other school. I met alot of friendly, cool people, professors who have made my experience at UCI wonderful!
