My school is best known for being one of the most environmentally friendly campuses in California and also for being extremely research driven. Students are very much able to get involved with faculty-supervised research and contribute to their field of interest as opposed to simply learning about it.

Our school is best known for being the youngest UC but the biggest land wise.

UC Merced is most known as being a fairly new school, with myself being one of the first graduating classes. It is still a small campus, but that makes it easy to interact with other students as well as the faculty and staff. The class sizes are just right, providing the ideal learning environment. This also enables students to start a legacy and be remembered at this campus for generations to come. That is an experience that you will not be able to find at any other school.

It is known best for being in the middle of nowhere and for being a green school.

Being the newest University of California campus. Being the first research university in the twenty first century - we have great facilities, and not just in terms of laboratories.

Not a lot since it's so new. It borrows the UC brand for the time being until it can establish an emphasis. The school's most popular majors are biology pre-med, engineering, and psycology.
